That is like turning on the brightness on the Minecraft settings to the max

Ofc? The reason I asked this was because the in game settings just wasn't enough for me and "just" changing the gamma in the .minecraft folder without knowing if its allowed isn't smart is it?

Kind of an unfair advantage for people who don't know. Shouldn't be allowed tho.

it's just a high contrast texture pack. Nobody really cares to make a fuss about it. The "advantage" of a non-xray texture pack isn't much of an issue on any server,
