Here's some tips on how to get better FPS
- If you want the most ultimate boost, lower ALL your settings, it affects visuals
- If you want to have a beautiful looking Minecraft without the massive FPS drops then follow these settings
• Render distance around 5-8
• Graphics at Fancy and Smooth Lighting at 100% and max
• Details -> Clouds, Rain and snow both off, Vignette, translucent blocks, trees, dropped items, all fast
• Other -> Smooth FPS and Fast Render both on
• Other
- Get a texture pack that is 16x16
- Faithful is a great texture pack for 32x32, default Minecraft graphics look alike
- Add more RAM to your java/minecraft installer (5-15+ FPS boost) (There's a lot of tutorials on Youtube)
• Other Continued
- Get a decent monitor or small TV with AVI Input (HDMI recommended) (I've gotten a 30-60 FPS boost) My monitor is a 1360x768 Philips Wide Screen TV (Yes TV I had to improvise)
- Update your graphics driver/card and regularly clean your PC (Rip Mac users)
I am currently running Minecraft with a 32x32 Faithful Mod Texture Pack, Render at 6, Medium-High Settings and getting an average of 45-120 FPS Average
Specs
• 2x AMD Athlon II xB24 Processor
• ATI Radeon HD 4200
• 4GB DDR3 (Or 4) RAM
- Optifine
