Ender pearls.

Whenever i pearl clutch now days, i die of fall damage. Like i land perfectly and fall 0 blocks, but i take like 8 hearts of damage and die. I think the server stacks on the fall damage of how much ever u fell before landing the pearl. This has happened to me many times and is extremly annoying. It has happened to me in skywars aswell, i pearl as i am falling into the void, the pearl lands perfectly on the ground and i take RANDOM DAMAGE and die. Has this happened to anyone else?
