Suggestion:
Enable ender pearling into spawn
Detailed description:
I would like to suggest enabling ender pearl usage to the spawn area in SkyPvP. Currently, players cannot pearl into spawn, which causes multiple gameplay and quality-of-life issues. Allowing pearls to work at spawn would significantly improve player experience, fairness, and overall gameplay flow.
Reason(s):
Current Problem
At the moment, ender pearls do not work when trying to reach spawn. This limitation creates several problems:
- Unfair Deaths
- Players escaping fights or low health situations cannot pearl into spawn.
- This often leads to unavoidable deaths even when the player has pearls and skill to escape.
- In PvP-based game modes, survival tools like pearls should function consistently.
- Spawn Camping Issues
- Players camp near spawn knowing others cannot pearl inside.
- This makes spawn entrances dangerous and frustrating, especially for newer or weaker players.
- Spawn should be a safe zone, not a trap.
- Inconsistent Mechanics
- Ender pearls work normally everywhere else in SkyPvP.
- Disabling them only at spawn feels confusing and unintuitive.
- Many players expect pearls to work the same way they do on other PvP servers and even other Pika modes.
- Punishes Legitimate Gameplay
- Players grinding, farming, or fighting fairly are punished when they try to retreat.
- This encourages more toxic playstyles such as chasing endlessly instead of tactical combat.
Example(s):
Why Allowing Pearls to Spawn Is a Good Idea
1. Improves Fairness
Pearls are a skill-based item. Allowing them into spawn rewards:
- Good timing
- Fast reactions
- Smart decision-making
2. Helps New Players
New players are the most affected:- They don’t know safe paths yet
- They get chased easily
- They die repeatedly near spawn
3. Reduces Toxic Gameplay
- Less spawn camping
- Less chasing until death
- More balanced fights
4. Better Flow of Gameplay
Players can:
- Fight → retreat → regear → fight again
Instead of: - Fight → stuck → die → lose motivation
This keeps SkyPvP active and enjoyable.
