Suggestion:
Different maps for bedwars

Detailed description:
I'd like to suggest expanding the BedWars map rotation by bringing back popular removed maps and adding fresh ones. The current pool gets repetitive for regular players, and returning fan favorites is a simple way to fix that.

The problem

  • Regular players see the same maps again and again, which makes games feel repetitive.
  • Everyone already knows the best strategies and routes on the current maps, so matches become predictable.
  • Players who remember maps like Olympus, Speedway, and Waterfall still miss them.

Proposed solution

  1. Bring back removed fan-favorite maps.
    Olympus
    , Speedway, and Waterfall were all removed from the rotation, and many players would love to see them return. They were already built and tested on Pika, so re-adding them takes far less work than building new maps. I suggest starting with a limited rotation and making any small updates needed to fit the current gameplay.
  2. Take inspiration from Hypixel, as Pika already does.
    Pika already uses some maps from Hypixel, so the team clearly sees value in learning from other successful servers. I suggest looking at more of their popular maps for ideas on layout, theme, and balance, and building original Pika versions with their own style.
  3. Add a few brand-new original maps.
    Mix new maps in with the returning ones, using different themes and layouts (for example, a desert ruins map, a futuristic city, or a frozen arctic base) so the rotation doesn't feel samey.
  4. Let the community vote.
    Run a poll with the returning maps and any new candidates so players can choose what comes back first. This shows the team is listening and ensures the additions are ones people want.
  5. Accept community map submissions.
    Open a submission process through Discord or the forums so talented builders can contribute, with credit on the map and in announcements.

Closing
Thanks for your time, and for all the work the team puts into the server. I'd be happy to help test maps or give feedback.

Reason(s):
Benefits

  • More variety and higher replay value.
  • Returning maps are quick to add since they already exist.
  • Players feel heard, and builders get recognition.
  • Featured maps give events and updates more impact.

Balancing and quality
I suggest playtesting each returning or new map in a limited rotation first, then collecting feedback through a short poll before making it permanent.

Example(s):
Speedway, Airshow, Waterfall and Olympus to name a few
