XP should have value.
Souls should have value.
Keys should have value.
Money should have value.
Strongholds and KOTH should be worth fighting for.
Outposts and Envoys should bring players into PvP.
Pets and Runes should provide meaningful progression.
Level 25 and Rebirths should feel like achievements.
Veteran players should have something meaningful to show for their time invested.
The overall goal is to create a stronger gameplay loop where players have reasons to grind, progress, fight, earn, spend, compete and continue playing throughout the entire season, rather than being able to complete or bypass major systems extremely quickly.
Reason(s):
Play → Grind → Progress → Earn → Spend → Compete → Improve → Repeat
The aim is to make each major system serve a clear purpose, increase activity in both PvE and PvP, give rewards more value, and provide players with meaningful short-term and long-term goals throughout the season.
Example(s):
XP from other sources could still exist, but it should be limited so that it cannot completely replace normal progression.
The rewards could remain balanced so the increased frequency does not damage the economy.
Players could have only 1–2 major skips, making them valuable instead of allowing players to bypass most of the progression.
Rare keys could then provide better rewards, making players actually value receiving them instead of treating keys as something extremely common.
This would make players more willing to risk their gear and actually fight over Strongholds.
The winning players could receive valuable keys or exclusive rewards, while players who actively participate could receive smaller rewards.
This would make KOTH a major PvP event instead of an objective that players ignore.
This could reduce unnecessary rendering, improve FPS and make it harder for players to escape combat through awkward areas.
Players who unlock that class during the season could keep access to it in future seasons.
Additional veteran classes could be unlocked through achievements or long-term participation rather than simply purchasing everything with Gold.
Players could:
The tutorial could explain:
Start → Complete quests → Grind mobs → Earn meaningful XP → Unlock Runes → Progress through levels → Participate in Envoys/Outposts/KOTH/Strongholds → Earn valuable rewards → Improve island/equipment → Rebirth → Continue toward long-term and seasonal goals.
This would create a much stronger gameplay loop where every major system has a purpose and players always have something meaningful to work toward.

Current OpSkyblock
Detailed description:
Detailed description:
I would like to suggest a broader rework of several OPSkyBlock systems. The main goal is not simply to make the server easier or harder, but to make progression, PvP, economy and older systems feel meaningful again. There are several features where rewards have become too common, progression has become too fast, or the feature itself is no longer attractive enough for players to use.1. XP & Progression Rework
- Remove or heavily reduce sources that currently provide massive amounts of XP without meaningful gameplay, especially situations where players can obtain around 5B XP without killing even one mob.
- Make XP primarily come from actual gameplay such as mob grinding, quests, events and progression activities.
- Reduce XP sources that allow players to completely bypass the intended progression.
- Restore the importance of Runes, since extremely easy XP makes rune progression and the difficulty of obtaining them much less meaningful.
- Balance XP with Rebirth progression, so players cannot rapidly reach large progression milestones through excessive XP sources.
- Make major XP milestones feel like achievements that require actual gameplay and effort.
- The goal should not be to make XP unnecessarily grindy, but to make XP, Runes and progression meaningful again.
2. Souls & Souls Shop Rework
- Rework Souls because they are currently extremely easy to obtain and therefore feel almost pointless.
- Improve the Souls Shop with rewards that players genuinely want to work toward.
- Add useful rewards such as keys, cosmetics, pets, boosters, rare items and progression-related items.
- Introduce higher-tier rewards that require a significant amount of Souls.
- Add exclusive rewards that cannot simply be obtained through normal gameplay.
- Balance Souls acquisition so valuable rewards still require meaningful gameplay.
- Make Souls a proper secondary currency rather than something players collect without having worthwhile things to spend them on.
3. Envoy Rework
- Improve Envoy rewards because the current rewards often do not justify entering PvP and risking gear to claim them.
- Add better rewards such as higher-tier keys, rare items, Souls, Gold, boosters and exclusive items.
- Add a few rare rewards with lower drop rates to create competition around Envoys.
- Make Envoys valuable enough that players actually have a reason to fight over them.
- Improve the overall loot table instead of simply increasing the amount of low-value items.
- Keep the rewards balanced so Envoys do not completely damage the economy.
- The goal should be to make an Envoy feel like something worth taking a PvP risk for.
4. Outpost Cooldown Rework
- Reduce the current very long Outpost cooldown, which can be around 2 hours, to something much shorter such as approximately 15–30 minutes.
- More frequent Outposts would create more opportunities for players and gangs to compete.
- Make Outpost one of the activities that consistently brings players into the PvP area.
- Keep the rewards balanced so a shorter cooldown does not create excessive economic advantages.
- Give players a meaningful reason to defend and recapture Outpost.
- More frequent Outposts would create natural PvP encounters instead of long periods of inactivity.
- The overall goal is to use Outpost as one of the main systems for increasing PvP activity on OPSkyBlock.
5. Level 25 & Skip Progression Rework
- Make Level 25 significantly harder to reach, as players with strong inventories can currently progress extremely quickly.
- Add more meaningful requirements such as quests, objectives, kills, resources or other progression tasks.
- Prevent players from completing the entire progression extremely quickly, sometimes in less than an hour with the right inventory.
- Limit the number of skips available for important progression stages, potentially allowing only 1–2 meaningful skips.
- Make skips more valuable and difficult to obtain instead of allowing players to bypass large portions of progression.
- Rebalance the relationship between keys, skips and progression because excessive keys and easy skips reduce the value of reaching Level 25.
- Make Level 25 feel like an actual achievement rather than something that can be rushed immediately.
6. Key Economy Rework
- Reduce the excessive availability of keys because keys have become extremely common, including among unranked players.
- Review the distribution of seasonal keys, especially because seasonal keys can also become widely available for sale.
- Make higher-value keys harder to obtain so owning one feels meaningful.
- Improve the difference between common, rare and premium keys so every tier has a clear purpose.
- Rebalance key rewards so valuable keys provide desirable but controlled rewards.
- Reduce situations where excessive keys allow players to accelerate progression and generate large amounts of Gold too easily.
- Make keys something players actually work toward and value rather than something that is constantly available.
7. Stronghold Rework
- Improve Stronghold rewards because the current rewards lack enough value compared to the PvP risk and effort required.
- Add better rewards such as higher-tier keys, Souls, Gold, rare items, boosters or exclusive cosmetics.
- Introduce Stronghold-exclusive rewards that give players a reason to repeatedly participate.
- Add a Stronghold token or currency that can be spent in a dedicated Stronghold Shop.
- Reward players who actively participate in the fight instead of making the final capture the only meaningful reward.
- Add Stronghold leaderboards or achievements for captures, defenses and wins.
- Make Strongholds one of the main reasons for players to enter PvP while keeping the rewards balanced enough not to damage the economy.
8. KOTH Rework
- Improve KOTH rewards because the current rewards do not provide enough motivation for players to risk entering PvP and contesting the objective.
- Take inspiration from the type of PvP reward structure seen in SkyPvP, where KOTH can become an actual reason for players to fight.
- Add desirable rewards such as keys, rare items, Souls, Gold, cosmetics or exclusive PvP rewards.
- Make winning KOTH feel meaningful while still providing smaller rewards for active participation.
- Add KOTH-related achievements or leaderboards to encourage long-term competition.
- Make KOTH a regular source of PvP activity instead of an objective that players ignore because the reward is not worth the effort.
- The overall aim should be to make OPSkyBlock capable of becoming a much more active PvP-focused mode, with KOTH as one of its major PvP activities.
9. PvP Arena / FPS Rework
- Improve the FPS and overall performance of the PvP environment, as FPS has been an ongoing concern and has already been suggested multiple times.
- Consider bringing back the glass-cage style PvP environment, or creating a similar optimized arena that reduces unnecessary rendering.
- Improve the PvP environment so players cannot easily escape combat through awkward areas, traps or excessive escape routes.
- Make combat more consistent and ensure the arena is designed specifically around proper PvP.
- Bringing back some of the feel of the older PvP environment could also make PvP more familiar and enjoyable for longtime players.
- Optimize the arena so players with lower-end systems can participate without suffering major FPS drops.
- Better FPS, better combat design and stronger PvP activities such as Envoys, KOTH, Strongholds and Outposts could significantly increase OPSkyBlock PvP activity.
10. GKit / Class System Rework
- Rework the current GKit/class system because a new player can effectively use Gold to unlock classes without needing meaningful progression.
- Make classes feel like something players actually earn rather than simply purchase.
- Introduce season-exclusive classes that can be unlocked during a specific season.
- Players who unlock these special classes during their season could retain access to them in future seasons.
- Introduce veteran or achievement-based classes that reward players who have invested significant time into the server.
- Keep some classes difficult to obtain so they provide a sense of achievement and status.
- This would give longtime players a permanent benefit for their history on the server without making the system completely dependent on Gold.
11. Money / Economy Rework
- Rework the money system because money currently has very little meaningful use.
- Players should have actual reasons to earn, save and spend money instead of it becoming an almost useless currency.
- Add meaningful money sinks such as upgrades, NPC shops, cosmetics, island features, services and other progression options.
- Give players reasons to trade items for money through the Auction House and other systems.
- Introduce more useful purchases while keeping the economy balanced to prevent excessive inflation.
- Connect money to certain progression systems without allowing players to simply buy their way through everything.
- The goal should be to make money a functioning part of the OPSkyBlock economy rather than a currency that players barely use.
12. Pet & Zookeeper Rework
- Rework the current pet system because using the same basic pet system for a long period can make pets feel repetitive and less exciting.
- Bring back the Zookeeper-style concept from the older/OG OPSkyBlock experience, while modernizing it for the current server.
- Add pet collection, different rarities and meaningful pet progression.
- Give pets useful abilities or bonuses so obtaining a new pet actually feels rewarding.
- Add pet-related progression such as upgrading, levelling or collecting different pets.
- Introduce seasonal or rare pets that give collectors something to work toward.
- Make pets a proper long-term progression system rather than simply another item players obtain and forget about.
13. Forum & Tutorial Update
- Update the OPSkyBlock forums because some information is still based on the Fantasy season, despite several newer seasons having passed.
- Replace outdated information with guides that accurately describe the current season, features, commands and progression.
- Completely update the tutorial so new players can understand the current systems more easily.
- The tutorial should explain important systems such as progression, Runes, Rebirths, Pets, Keys, Souls, PvP, Outposts and other major features.
- Make the information easier for new players to follow instead of requiring them to search through outdated forum posts.
- Keep the guides updated whenever major systems change.
- A properly maintained forum and tutorial would make the server much easier for new players to understand and reduce confusion about outdated mechanics.
14. Long-Term / Veteran Progression
- Add more progression systems that reward players for staying active for months rather than allowing most important progression to be completed extremely quickly.
- Introduce veteran rewards for players who have consistently played across multiple seasons.
- Add long-term achievements, collections, titles, cosmetics or other permanent rewards.
- Seasonal progression could include exclusive rewards that remain as collectibles after the season ends.
- Create milestones for systems such as Strongholds, KOTH, Outposts, Pets, Runes, Rebirths and other activities.
- Give longtime players something meaningful to show for the time they have invested into OPSkyBlock.
- The goal should be to create a progression system where there is always another meaningful milestone to work toward.
Overall direction
The main purpose of these changes is to make OPSkyBlock's different systems have a clear purpose again.XP should have value.
Reason(s):
Reason(s):
The main reason for these suggestions is that several OPSkyBlock systems currently feel either too easy, too unrewarding, outdated, or disconnected from the main gameplay loop. Improving these systems would make progression more meaningful, increase activity and give players more reasons to continue playing throughout a season.1. XP & Progression Rework
- Extremely large amounts of XP can currently be obtained without performing the gameplay that XP is supposed to represent.
- Getting billions of XP without even killing mobs reduces the value of actual grinding.
- Runes become less meaningful when XP can be obtained so easily.
- Rebirth progression can also lose its value when players can obtain huge amounts of XP very quickly.
- Players can bypass intended progression instead of working through it.
- Making XP more meaningful would give players a reason to actually participate in the gameplay systems designed around XP.
2. Souls & Souls Shop Rework
- Souls currently feel too easy to obtain, which reduces their value as a currency.
- There are not enough attractive rewards to motivate players to actively collect Souls.
- A stronger Souls Shop would create another long-term progression path.
- Exclusive rewards would give players a reason to save Souls rather than immediately ignoring them.
- Better Souls rewards could encourage players to participate in more server activities.
- Making Souls valuable would give the currency an actual purpose within the OPSkyBlock economy.
3. Envoy Rework
- Players currently have limited motivation to risk their gear in PvP for the existing Envoy rewards.
- Weak rewards reduce competition around Envoys.
- Better rewards would encourage players to travel to PvP and contest Envoys.
- Rare rewards would create excitement and make Envoys more competitive.
- More Envoy activity would naturally create more player-versus-player encounters.
- This could help bring activity back to the PvP area instead of having players avoid it unless necessary.
4. Outpost Cooldown Rework
- A very long cooldown means there can be large periods where Outpost provides no reason for players to fight.
- A shorter cooldown would create more frequent PvP opportunities.
- More Outposts would give gangs and players something to compete over regularly.
- It would increase activity in the PvP area throughout the day.
- Outpost could become one of the main recurring PvP objectives on OPSkyBlock.
- A shorter cooldown would make the server feel more active without necessarily requiring stronger rewards.
5. Level 25 & Skip Progression Rework
- Level 25 can currently be progressed through extremely quickly by players with strong inventories.
- Completing major progression in less than an hour reduces the sense of achievement.
- Excessive skips allow players to bypass progression that should require actual effort.
- When progression is too easy, keys and other progression resources lose part of their value.
- Making Level 25 harder would give players a longer-term objective to work toward.
- A better progression system would make reaching Level 25 feel like an actual milestone.
6. Key Economy Rework
- Keys have become extremely common, even among players without ranks.
- Seasonal keys being widely available can further reduce their exclusivity.
- When valuable keys are too common, obtaining one no longer feels special.
- Excessive keys can also accelerate progression and generate large amounts of resources too easily.
- Rebalancing keys would give players more reason to work toward higher-tier keys.
- A healthier key economy would also help maintain the value of other progression systems.
7. Stronghold Rework
- The current Stronghold rewards do not always justify the risk of entering PvP.
- Players have less motivation to contest Strongholds when the final reward feels underwhelming.
- Better rewards would encourage more players and gangs to compete.
- Exclusive Stronghold rewards could create a reason for players to participate repeatedly.
- A stronger Stronghold system would create more consistent PvP activity.
- Strongholds have the potential to become one of the major PvP activities on OPSkyBlock if the rewards properly match the risk.
8. KOTH Rework
- Current KOTH rewards do not provide enough incentive for players to consistently contest the objective.
- KOTH should be something players actively prepare for rather than something that can be ignored.
- Better rewards could create larger PvP fights and more competition between gangs.
- A reward structure inspired by successful PvP-focused systems such as SkyPvP could make KOTH more attractive.
- More active KOTH events would help establish OPSkyBlock as a stronger PvP environment.
- KOTH could become one of the main recurring PvP objectives alongside Envoys, Outposts and Strongholds.
9. PvP Arena / FPS Rework
- FPS problems can directly affect the quality of PvP.
- Players with performance issues may be discouraged from participating in PvP altogether.
- The current environment can also provide unnecessary escape routes or areas that interfere with combat.
- A more optimized arena could improve both performance and combat consistency.
- Bringing back elements of the older glass-cage PvP environment could make combat more straightforward while improving performance.
- Improving PvP performance would also make the other PvP systems more useful because players would actually be able to participate comfortably.
10. GKit / Class System Rework
- Allowing players to use Gold to unlock many classes can reduce the sense of progression behind those classes.
- New players can potentially obtain systems that longtime players had to work toward.
- This reduces the value of long-term investment in the server.
- Seasonal classes would give players something unique to earn during a specific season.
- Permanent veteran classes could reward players for their history and achievements.
- A better class system would make classes feel like meaningful accomplishments rather than simply another thing that can be purchased.
11. Money / Economy Rework
- Money currently has very limited practical use.
- Players have little reason to save money when there are not enough meaningful things to spend it on.
- A weak currency reduces trading activity and makes the economy feel less important.
- More money sinks would give players reasons to earn and spend money.
- A stronger economy could also make the Auction House and player trading more relevant.
- Giving money a proper purpose would create another meaningful progression and gameplay system.
12. Pet & Zookeeper Rework
- The current pet system can become repetitive when there are not enough reasons to collect and progress pets.
- The older Zookeeper-style concept provided a stronger collection-focused experience.
- Bringing back a modern version could give players another long-term activity.
- Different rarities and pet progression would give players reasons to keep collecting.
- Seasonal and rare pets could create additional goals for collectors.
- A stronger pet system would make pets feel like a proper progression feature rather than a secondary feature players quickly forget.
13. Forum & Tutorial Update
- Current forum information is outdated and still contains information from much older seasons, including Fantasy.
- New players may follow outdated information and become confused about how current systems work.
- An outdated tutorial makes the initial learning experience harder than necessary.
- Updated guides would help players understand progression, keys, Runes, Pets, PvP and other systems.
- Keeping the information updated would reduce repeated questions and confusion.
- A modern tutorial and forum would provide new players with a much clearer introduction to OPSkyBlock.
14. Long-Term / Veteran Progression
- Players can currently progress through important systems too quickly, reducing long-term goals.
- Longtime players need meaningful rewards that recognize the time they have invested.
- Veteran progression would give players reasons to continue playing across multiple seasons.
- Permanent cosmetics, titles, achievements and collectibles could provide long-term goals without necessarily creating unfair advantages.
- Seasonal achievements could encourage players to participate in different server systems.
- More long-term progression would help prevent players from reaching a point where there is very little left to work toward.
Overall reason
These changes would help create a more meaningful OPSkyBlock gameplay loop:Play → Grind → Progress → Earn → Spend → Compete → Improve → Repeat
The aim is to make each major system serve a clear purpose, increase activity in both PvE and PvP, give rewards more value, and provide players with meaningful short-term and long-term goals throughout the season.
Example(s):
Example(s):
Below are some practical examples of how these changes could work in OPSkyBlock.1. XP & Progression Rework
For example, instead of a player obtaining around 5B XP without killing a single mob, large XP milestones could require actual gameplay such as killing mobs, completing quests or participating in events.XP from other sources could still exist, but it should be limited so that it cannot completely replace normal progression.
2. Souls & Souls Shop Rework
For example, a player could collect Souls through gameplay and save them for a dedicated Souls Shop containing:- Rare keys
- Exclusive cosmetics
- Pets
- Boosters
- Rare progression items
3. Envoy Rework
For example, instead of an Envoy mainly containing low-value rewards, it could contain:- Better keys
- Souls
- Rare items
- Gold
- Small chances for exclusive rewards
4. Outpost Cooldown Rework
For example, if the current cooldown is around 2 hours, reducing it to approximately 15–30 minutes would create significantly more opportunities for gangs and players to fight over the Outpost. The rewards could remain balanced so the increased frequency does not damage the economy.
5. Level 25 & Skip Progression Rework
For example, reaching Level 25 could require players to complete several difficult quests or objectives rather than simply having a strong inventory.Players could have only 1–2 major skips, making them valuable instead of allowing players to bypass most of the progression.
6. Key Economy Rework
For example, common keys could remain relatively accessible, while higher-tier and seasonal keys could require more effort to obtain.Rare keys could then provide better rewards, making players actually value receiving them instead of treating keys as something extremely common.
7. Stronghold Rework
For example, capturing a Stronghold could provide:- Seasonal Sets
- Seasonal Key
- Seasonal Swords/ Random GKIT Container
- Rare items
This would make players more willing to risk their gear and actually fight over Strongholds.
8. KOTH Rework
For example, KOTH could provide much more desirable PvP rewards similar in concept to SkyPvP-style PvP rewards. The winning players could receive valuable keys or exclusive rewards, while players who actively participate could receive smaller rewards.
This would make KOTH a major PvP event instead of an objective that players ignore.
9. PvP Arena / FPS Rework
For example, OPSkyBlock could bring back a glass-cage-style PvP arena or create a redesigned version optimized for performance. This could reduce unnecessary rendering, improve FPS and make it harder for players to escape combat through awkward areas.
10. GKit / Class System Rework
For example, a special class could be introduced during Season X.Players who unlock that class during the season could keep access to it in future seasons.
Additional veteran classes could be unlocked through achievements or long-term participation rather than simply purchasing everything with Gold.
11. Money / Economy Rework
For example, money could be used for:- Island upgrades
- Special NPC shops
- Cosmetics
- Services
- Auction House-related costs
- Certain progression features
12. Pet & Zookeeper Rework
For example, a modern Zookeeper-style system could allow players to collect different pets with different rarities.Players could:
- Collect pets
- Upgrade them
- Level them
- Unlock abilities
- Complete pet collections
13. Forum & Tutorial Update
For example, the current information from older seasons such as Fantasy could be replaced with an updated guide for the current OPSkyBlock season. The tutorial could explain:
- How progression works
- How Runes work
- How Rebirths work
- How Keys and Souls work
- How PvP systems work
- How Pets work
14. Long-Term / Veteran Progression
For example, players could receive permanent cosmetic rewards or titles for completing long-term achievements such as:- Playing multiple seasons
- Capturing many Strongholds
- Winning KOTH events
- Reaching high Rebirth levels
- Completing large pet collections
- Reaching major progression milestones
Overall example
The ideal OPSkyBlock progression could look something like:Start → Complete quests → Grind mobs → Earn meaningful XP → Unlock Runes → Progress through levels → Participate in Envoys/Outposts/KOTH/Strongholds → Earn valuable rewards → Improve island/equipment → Rebirth → Continue toward long-term and seasonal goals.
This would create a much stronger gameplay loop where every major system has a purpose and players always have something meaningful to work toward.
