Suggestion:
Changes in punishment history

Detailed description:
I recommend that when handling player reports which include YouTube videos as proof (such as recordings of cheats like safewalk, kill aura, etc.), the evidence should not be made publicly accessible via /history (username) or shown directly in the punishment history.

Instead, I propose the following approach:

  • Either request the reporter to re-submit the evidence through a more permanent and non-indexed platform such as Imgur or Streamable.
  • Or, withhold the proof unless the punished player submits an appeal. If an appeal is made, the relevant staff member can provide a screen recording of the YouTube video as proof, ensuring that no direct links are shared unless necessary.

Reason(s):
If this change was to be implemented that would prevent unwanted information and would not be exposing privacy of many players. Youtube accounts may have personal gmail account linked which can have their real name included aswell. This also prevents more drama.

Example(s):
I have reported owndogg an ares member, and now they snipe me and my teammate olukaa. You can see that in the recording i reported them in, they have made a comment threatening for snipes lol.

There are other options than youtube like imgur. But why should youtube be a Problem? Big youtubers have youtube accounts too (mindblowing)

It would not make sense at all if the player who got banned need to request in order to see the evidence. And it would still not change the fact that the evidence would be viewed at last.

Hey there MaxGamer803913, after reading your suggestion, I have decided to downvote it for the following reason:
  • It is up to the player from which platform he/she wants to provide the evidence for his/her reports, the only thing is that the evidence should be there permanently and not get removed because of expiration dates. And a player can always use an alternate Gmail account for reporting players if they fear being targeted. However, I do feel that a simple note can be added in the important thread in Player Reports, making the players aware of the threat of being targeted and taking caution while reporting if they feared being targeted.

It will increase the work load of staff members. And a waste of time too.
There is no harm if other sees the evidence too.
