Boosting Rule​

Detailed description:

The Rules Guide for the network on the forums has a rule called boosting
this is the rule under which i player is using alt accounts, unintended mechanics, or any other unfair means to gain an advantage over other players.

So If someone was asking in chat " Buying kills for 100k each Msg him/her no alts! "
when I asked this thing to some of the staff members on the network I was informed that this is considered under-boosting
according to the rules as a player types the " Buying kills for 100k each Msg him/her no alts! " the player is clearly saying that the player is buying kills from someone and does intend on those kills to come from an alt and the player is, of course paying the seller for those kills

As Oplifesteal players, we would want to know what is considered boosting.

If buying kills for in-game money is considered boosting it should be displayed in the rules of the serve.r
On the Technical aspect if someone is buying kills for in-game money and does not want alt kills should not be considered boosting.​

Reason(s):

The reason for this suggestion is the players should know what is considered boosting and what is not and since many players refer to the rules of the server the current boosting rule does not specify anything where buying kills from players for in-game money is considered boosting.

There should be clarity among the player base regarding the rules and if the rules are not clear regarding a mode and the player is punished for the offense that he/she didn't even know was considered as an offense will just ruin the morale of the players​

Hey razon,
I agree with you, most player may believe it is not considered boosting to pay other players for kills. But if you think about it, for a spectator (staff or someone else recording the player being farmed for kills) it would seem that the other player is an alt because well they would be afk and welp that looks like boosting. So it would be quite unnecessary to add an explanation for the rule, players would just need common sense to understand.

I am pretty sure back in 2022-23 Buying kills for paying some1 with the ingame money used to be allowed (i might be wrong about it)
Recently when i asked around a few people some said its allowed and some denied it
Which made me question the rule as on froums its not mentioned that its mot allowed

My suggestion is ( if its not allowed there should be a sub forum for oplifesteal where things allowed or dis allowed should be listed) this would make players know what is and is not allowed

In my opinion, a sub forum for OpLifesteal is not very necessary. Although I would definitely agree on making the description of boosting more clear in the rules.
