Black particles coming out from a piston

When I saw a 0 tick farm made by ilmango in YouTube, it looked useful and I was very excited to implement it in my land to make some money, while building the red stone farm, the pistons don't seem to work and black particles came out from the piston as if it looked like it exploded. I went to play in single-player mode to create the machine again and it worked perfectly and there were no particles. Is this a plugin added to the server to prevent players from creating loud noises by using pistons? Please tell me what is the purpose of these particles.
