Thank you for trying to close the loopholes, but your answers still don't work in practice. Let me explain why:
1. How would the server even track "unused"? If a player buys a rank, logs in, and simply stands in the lobby, does that count as "using" lobby flight or chat colors? What if they join a gamemode but don't claim their kit? Does this count as used as well? It is asking for an intensive level of tracking.
2. That doesn't solve the time-based advantage problem. A player could still buy a rank on Monday, farm resources with its perks all week, then refund at the weekly reset before anyone notices. The advantage is already taken; the refund window doesn't undo pickaxe enchantments or sold items.
3. That does not really answer it. Let's say you bought a rank and it remains unused for a year. Then you proceed to refund it, the transfer of the items basically means your iron lasts forever, as long as you "loan" a rank.
4. And if the server buys back ranks, what price do you set? Full price means players can rent ranks for free. Half price means players lose value and get angry.
5. You say the old rank becomes "non-refundable or its value is automatically used." Those are two completely different systems. Which one? And if the value is automatically used, what happens if a player upgrades to a rank they later hate? They lose both ranks with no recourse.
I appreciate you trying to find a solution, but these answers still don't hold up under real server conditions. If based on your suggestion, I would rather have them sell more short-term ranks for a lower price (which is similar to what the auction house is at the moment, where players could buy a rank that lasts for only 7 days), then the players can decide whether they truely believe the rank worth it or not.
1. A rank is only considered “used” once the player actually claims its kit, perks like flight or just being in the lobby don’t count.
2. If a player uses any perks, the rank becomes non-refundable until the next weekly reset, claiming the once kit makes it non-refundable until the gamemode's season resets, and using perks like rank color disables refunds for 1 week.
3. Whether the rank was used or not, if it was purchased with Pika Iron, the refunded Iron will come with a 14-day time limit.
4. First of all, players will only refund or resell a rank if they don’t need it, regret buying it, or dislike it. They won’t keep abusing it. Refunds can be limited to 24-48 hours once a week (like Saturday-Sunday). The returned amount depends on the rank’s price: for example, if you bought Titan with Pika Iron, you’d get 7,500 Iron with its 14-day expiry, if bought with Pika Gold, you’d get the full Gold price.
5. If a player upgrades from VIP to Elite, refunding will return the price of the Elite rank. If they don’t like Elite, they can refund it and repurchase VIP using the refunded currency. It’s easy and simple.
Now, the toughest question: what about ranks that are only available in seasonal crates, like the Eternal rank in OPFactions? (xD... I have answer for this too.)
6. Seasonal crate ranks, like Eternal in OPFactions, are rare and limited, so they shouldn’t be refundable or resellable to maintain their value and fairness. Purchasable perks could be refunded, but rare ranks remain locked.
