Since this wasn't getting much traction on suggestions page, I decided to report it here:
Untrusted players are able to activate pressure plates. I think that pressure plates should only be permitted to players with /accesstrust just like levers and buttons. This would prevent standing on a pressure plate, not dropping items on it. Functionally it only prevents stone pressure plates from being activated, but even that would be a massive help against griefing.
