Suggestion:
Add 1v1 Rooms
Detailed description:
In OP Lifesteal, many players have very strong sets, and with elytras, it’s often impossible to have a fair 1v1 fight. When players are low on health, they can simply fly away or avoid combat entirely, which makes duels frustrating and sometimes unfair. Even highly skilled players can’t properly test their PvP abilities because fights often end in escapes rather than actual kills.
To solve this, I suggest adding dedicated 1v1 rooms or duel arenas. Here’s how it could work:
To solve this, I suggest adding dedicated 1v1 rooms or duel arenas. Here’s how it could work:
- Voluntary entry: Two players agree to a duel and enter a 1v1 room together. Players could issue a challenge to someone, and only when both agree does the duel start.
- Locked area: Once both players are inside, the arena locks automatically. This prevents escapes using elytras, teleportation, or outside interference, ensuring a true 1v1 fight.
- Arena design: The room can be a small, isolated arena, separate from the main map, so it doesn’t affect ongoing events or KOTH. It could have minimal decorations or obstacles for strategy, but nothing that would give an unfair advantage.
- Automatic reset: After one player dies, the arena resets, and both players are returned to the main map. The room can then be used by other players.
- Optional stats tracking: The server could optionally track wins, losses, or longest win streaks inside 1v1 rooms, similar to top killstreaks or top balances, to encourage competitive dueling.
Reason(s):
- Makes 1v1 fights fair and skill-based, even for very strong or pay-to-win sets.
- Eliminates escapes using elytras or other movement methods, ensuring fights actually conclude.
- Encourages more competitive PvP, giving players a reason to duel voluntarily.
- Adds a fun, structured way to settle disputes or practice PvP without affecting other players or events.
- Could integrate with existing stats systems to track duel wins, adding extra motivation.
- Overall, it increases engagement, competition, and fairness in OP Lifesteal.
Example(s):
The doors lock automatically, preventing escapes. The duel begins, and both players fight until one dies. Once the duel ends, the arena resets, and both players are returned to the main world. The winner could optionally gain a win recorded in stats, showing their skill compared to others.
