1.8 pvp again

opprison used to be incredibly populated, one of the main reasons being 1.8.9 pvp, which made the server one of the best on pika
with removal of 1.8 pvp, the entire arena becomes COMPLETELY dead (go check iyw), and its made almost all the players quit pvp, and also made the server really dry
bringing back the original pvp would genuinely be the best decision and would likely bring back a lot of people and make the server a lot more fun for everyone else
please consider this, and although its been rejected before, think about it, there's gotta be a reason so many people are asking you to bring it back

Prison has never been focusing on the pvp side. With it being up to the current versions, you may see how the content has improved compared to the gamemodes which are still in 1.8. If you really want to play 1.8 PvP, there are still other modes that serve this purposes.
