It is finally time for our third season of SkyMines, so grab your pickaxe, and let's dig straight into it.
It's getting colder outside, and we are entering the Christmas season, so SkyMines can not be left behind, and will be receiving a small winter makeover at spawn, and brand new features to blast off into this reset.

Changelog
The most important features/modifications implemented towards this season's map and functions are the following.
New! Nether WorldThe Nether World has undergone a major makeover!
Bigger islands.The islands are now bigger, giving you more room to explore and fight.
With expanded areas, there’s plenty of space for PvP.
A new look.Alongside the improvements in size and functionality, the Nether has also received a complete aesthetic upgrade.
The new design brings a more immersive and fiery atmosphere, perfectly capturing the intense spirit of the Nether.
New! End World
The End World has been completely redesigned!
It is no longer a place for mining but now serves as the ultimate battleground for powerful bosses.
Each boss has its own unique island that you can travel to.
These islands are unlocked as you level up, offering stronger challenges the higher your level gets.
New! Winter Spawn
Snow has arrived in the SkyMines spawn!
Get ready for a cold and exciting winter season.
The spawn you know and love, now in a Winter Theme.The new Winter Spawn changes everything.
The land is now covered in snow, with shiny snowflakes, icy trees, and frozen roads.
New! Fishing Island
SkyMines now has a special Fishing Island just for fishing!
This new island has a big lake with lots of space for everyone to fish.
You can relax, catch fish, and enjoy the peaceful water.
There’s plenty of room, so no need to worry about running out of spots.
New! LevelsThe new level system replaces the old Quest Levels, allowing you to progress just by playing the game!
Gain experience by killing mobs, mining ores, and more—the more you play, the more you level up.
Level up in your own way.Instead of having to complete certain quests or tasks, this level system allows you to level up the way you want to level, if you are more of a PvP player you can earn experience by killing bosses and capturing outposts. Or if you are more a fan of the classic SkyMines experience, you can level up as well. Level up your collections, mine blocks, kill mobs, the choice is yours on how you will earn the experience.
Earn great rewards as you progress.Once you reach enough experience, you’ll level up, unlocking rewards that you can claim along the way.
Upgrade with the Premium Pass to access exclusive premium rewards.
Diamond Bundles as additional rewards.Additionally, certain levels will unlock Diamond Bundles, available for purchase with Gold at a significant discount, giving you great value on special items!
New! Nether Mobs
The Nether is now home to new mobs that you can kill to earn their drop. These drops are a replacement for the removed Amethyst ores in the end.
In order to get the drops, you need to kill the mobs, these mobs have a chance to drop it, and respawn within their area when there are not enough mobs nearby.
As it is a replacement for the Amethyst, these drops are now a requirement to purchase the Crystal Effects.
The following mobs spawn within the Nether:

New! BossesThe end island has been transformed completely as mentioned before, with new islands you can access upon certain levels, these islands are home to bosses, that you will be able to kill to earn great rewards like elytras, new armor sets and much more.
These Bosses will be strong, so make sure to upgrade your load-out before heading into the fight.

New! CratesWe have decided to change the crates, to give you more variety in rewards you can earn by purchasing keys, or simply by earning them.
From now on the following crates will be available in the upcoming seasons of SkyMines:

New! BackpacksYou can now use backpacks to carry more ores while mining!
These backpacks are perfect for storing extra ores, so you don’t run out of space.
Keep mining for longer and collect more resources with your new backpacks.
They are a great way to make your mining trips easier and more efficient!
New! Sell WandsSay hello to Sell Wands, the perfect tool for quick and easy selling!
With these wands, you can sell everything inside a chest on your island with just one click.
Sell Wands have limited uses, so use them wisely. Some Sell Wands also come with a sell multiplier, letting you earn even more from your items.
Updated! ShopsAll NPCs with shops in every world have been updated to better match the current SkyMines economy.
Their items have been rebalanced and changed, making the shops more useful and aligned with your gameplay progression.
Updated! BeaconsWe've made a small change with beacons, you will now earn more beacons in different worlds, the beacons you will earn are now the following:
- Overworld: 1 Beacon per block
- Nether: 2 Beacons per block
- End: 3 Beacons per block.
Updated! Fishing
Fishing just got even better! Your fishing rod is now a tool you can upgrade.
With the new update, rods can have different enchantments to make fishing faster and more efficient.
Upgrade your rod to catch more fish, reel in better rewards, and make your fishing trips even more productive.
Fixed! Bugs
We’ve put in a lot of work to polish and fix as many bugs as possible on the SkyMines server.
We carefully reviewed all reported issues and successfully fixed them.
If you find any bugs with the new release, please report them in the bug reports section on our forums.
Did you know about bug report rewards?You can earn Gold by reporting bugs! We appreciate everyone who takes the time to report issues, so we’re giving back to you.
Each season, when all reported bugs are fixed, you’ll receive Gold in your virtual wallet, which you can redeem on our Discord with /wallet.

Misc. Updates & Changes
Multiple small changes have been made, some of these small changes are the following:
- You can no longer use Elytra in the end world.
- Mending books can now be applied to your gear directly.
- Island Members beacons contributions get remove when island member leaves island.
- Added consumables in redstone shop.
- Removed amethyst as a resource, the end world is now the world with pvp & bosses, no longer mining based.
- Added collection tokens to directly level-up a collection.
- Generators now drop an item every 5 seconds instead of 20 seconds.
- Several balance changes to shops, prices and more.
- ...and much more.
