Suggestion:
Detailed description:
I think KitPvP could use a few changes to make the overall experience better for both new and experienced players. The gamemode is fun, but there are certain things that get frustrating after playing for a while, especially when it comes to getting ganked, balancing certain sets, and some unnecessary limitations in the current system.
I'm not suggesting a complete overhaul of the gamemode. Most of these changes are relatively simple quality-of-life improvements that could make KitPvP more enjoyable without changing its core gameplay.
Here are the changes I'd like to suggest.
Getting ganked by 4–5 players is already difficult, but when they're all using Punch III bows, running away becomes almost impossible. Even if you're a decent player, you can get stuck in an endless cycle of getting hit back and being unable to create enough distance to escape.
My suggestion: Bring back safe cages so players have a reliable way to escape situations where they're heavily outnumbered.
This wouldn't make players invincible or remove the risk of getting ganked. It would simply give them a better chance to disengage instead of being forced to fight multiple people with very little room to escape.
I feel like this would make fights more enjoyable and reduce some of the frustration associated with getting targeted by groups.
Flying in spawn was much more convenient and made moving around feel smoother. I don't really see a reason to rely on bow boosting when we already had a perfectly fine system before.
My suggestion: Remove spawn bow boosting and re-enable flying in spawn, just like it used to be.
This would be a straightforward quality-of-life change. Players could move around spawn easily without having to repeatedly use their bows to gain momentum.
The main issue is the advantage it provides compared to other available sets. When one set is significantly stronger than the alternatives, it reduces the variety in fights and makes other sets feel less worthwhile.
For F2P players especially, fighting someone using Maple Set can feel extremely unfair. Obviously, paid sets and rewards can have advantages, but there should still be some reasonable balance between them.
My suggestion: Either remove Maple Set or give it a proper nerf.
If removing it completely isn't an option, its stats or abilities could be adjusted to bring it more in line with other sets.
The goal isn't to make every set identical. Different sets should have their own strengths, but no single set should feel so dominant that it becomes frustrating to fight against.
Instead of having to repeat the same purchase over and over again, there should be an option to purchase a full stack at once.
My suggestion: Add a purchase option for 64 books in the Essence Shop, alongside the existing purchase options.
For example:
This is a small change, but it would save players time and make purchasing books much more convenient.
Seasonal maps make the gamemode feel fresh and give regular players something new to experience without requiring major gameplay changes.
My suggestion: Add a winter-themed map featuring snow-covered terrain, frozen lakes or rivers, snowy trees, and winter-themed structures around the map and spawn.
It doesn't necessarily need to replace the existing map permanently. It could be introduced as a seasonal map for the winter period.
A winter map would be a nice change of scenery and would fit the season perfectly.
When players receive a booster, it goes directly into /boosters. This can be inconvenient for people who want to save boosters for later, manage them in their inventory, or trade them if trading is supported.
My suggestion: Allow players to withdraw boosters from /boosters as physical items. Alternatively, boosters could be given as items immediately when obtained.
I'd also suggest making identical boosters stackable, wherever possible.
For example, if a player owns five boosters of the same type, they should be able to keep them together in a single inventory slot instead of having to manage five separate items.
Ideally, the system would work like this:
Currently, class containers use minecarts with chests. The problem is that they aren't as convenient to manage in large quantities, especially when players have several classes or containers.
My suggestion: Replace the minecart chest items used for class containers with jukeboxes, similar to the system used on OP Skyblock.
The main reason is convenience. Jukeboxes are stackable, which would make it much easier for players to carry and store multiple class containers without filling up unnecessary inventory slots.
This would be especially useful for players who regularly switch between classes or maintain multiple sets.
If the OP Skyblock system already supports this kind of functionality, adapting a similar approach for KitPvP could be worth considering.
As things stand, players need KOTH wins to claim all their KR rewards, with the total requirement reaching around 15 KOTH wins depending on how far they progress.
The problem is that not everyone can consistently win KOTHs. Some players may have limited playtime, prefer regular KitPvP fights, or simply struggle to compete against organised groups.
This can make claiming rewards unnecessarily difficult, even for players who are actively playing the gamemode.
My suggestion: Remove the KOTH win requirement from KR claims and login rewards, allowing players to claim their rewards without having to win KOTHs.
If completely removing the requirement isn't possible, another option would be to reduce it significantly.
For example, instead of requiring multiple KOTH wins throughout the reward progression, players could be allowed to claim their rewards based on their KR progress alone.
I understand that KOTH is an important part of KitPvP, and I'm not suggesting that its rewards or competitive aspect should be removed. The idea is simply to separate regular reward progression from the requirement to win KOTHs.
This would make the reward system more accessible to the wider player base while still allowing KOTH to remain competitive.
To summarise:
I'm interested in hearing what other KitPvP players think about these changes, especially the Maple Set balance, safe cages, and KOTH requirements.
Let me know your thoughts!

KitPvP Revamp

KitPvP Revamp Suggestion – Quality of Life Changes + Winter Map
Hey everyone!I think KitPvP could use a few changes to make the overall experience better for both new and experienced players.
1. Re-add Safe Cages
Since safe cages are no longer available, escaping from multiple players has become much harder than it needs to be.Getting ganked by 4–5 players is already difficult, but when they're all using Punch III bows, running away becomes almost impossible.
2. Remove Spawn Bow Boosting and Bring Back Spawn Flying
Honestly, spawn bow boosting is pretty annoying. Instead of making movement around spawn convenient, it turns something that should be simple into an unnecessary hassle.Flying in spawn was much more convenient and made moving around feel smoother.
3. Remove Maple Set or Nerf It
I think Maple Set needs to be looked at because it feels too overpowered in its current state.
4. Add an Option to Buy 64 Books Directly From the Essence Shop
Buying books individually from the Essence Shop can be tedious, especially for players who need large quantities.Instead of having to repeat the same purchase over and over again, there should be an option to purchase a full stack at once.
My suggestion: Add a purchase option for 64 books in the Essence Shop, alongside the existing purchase options.
For example:
- Buy 1 book.
- Buy 16 books.
- Buy 64 books.
This is a small change, but it would save players time and make purchasing books much more convenient.
5. Add a Winter-Themed KitPvP Map
Winter is approaching, so I think this would be a great time to introduce a winter-themed KitPvP map.Seasonal maps make the gamemode feel fresh and give regular players something new to experience without requiring major gameplay changes.
6. Make Boosters Withdrawable and Stackable
The current booster system could be more convenient.
- Players can withdraw boosters from /boosters.
- Boosters can be stored in their inventory for later use.
- Identical boosters stack together.
- Players can activate a booster when they actually want to use it.
7. Replace Minecart Chests With Jukeboxes for Class Containers
This is another small quality-of-life change that could make inventory management much better.Currently, class containers use minecarts with chests.
8. Remove the KOTH Win Requirement for KR Claims and Login Rewards (Up to Staff)
I understand that this one is more up to the staff team, but I think the current requirement could be reconsidered.
Final Thoughts
These are the main changes I'd like to see in a KitPvP revamp. To summarise:
- Re-add safe cages to make escaping large groups more manageable.
- Remove spawn bow boosting and bring back flying in spawn.
- Remove Maple Set or nerf it to improve balance, particularly for F2P players.
- Add a direct 64-book purchase option in the Essence Shop.
- Introduce a winter-themed map for the upcoming season.
- Allow boosters to be withdrawn, stored as items, and stacked.
- Replace minecart chest class containers with stackable jukeboxes.
- Remove or significantly reduce the KOTH win requirement for KR claims and login rewards.
I'm interested in hearing what other KitPvP players think about these changes, especially the Maple Set balance, safe cages, and KOTH requirements.
Let me know your thoughts!
Reason(s):
1. Re-add Safe Cages: Makes escaping 4–5 players spamming Punch III bows more manageable and prevents unavoidable ganks.
2. Bring Back Spawn Flying: Flying is more convenient than repeatedly bow boosting just to move around spawn.
3. Nerf/Remove Maple Set: An overpowered set reduces PvP balance and puts F2P players at a disadvantage.
4. 64 Books in Essence Shop: Saves time and avoids repeatedly purchasing books in smaller quantities.
5. Winter-Themed Map: Keeps the gamemode fresh and adds seasonal content for players to enjoy.
6. Withdrawable & Stackable Boosters: Gives players more control over when they use boosters and reduces inventory clutter.
7. Jukebox Class Containers: Stackable containers save inventory space and make managing multiple classes easier.
8. Remove KOTH Requirements for KR Rewards: Allows active players to claim their progression rewards without depending on KOTH wins, which can be difficult due to competition and limited availability.
