Suggestion:
Progressive Generator Caps

Detailed description:
  • Increase the Iron and Gold generator caps as the game progresses.
  • Increase the caps when Diamond upgrades become available.
  • Increase the caps further when Emerald upgrades become available.
  • Keep the increases small so generators do not become significantly faster, only allowing more resources to accumulate before reaching the cap.

Reason(s):
  • The current 32 Iron and 6 Gold cap becomes increasingly restrictive as the game progresses.
  • Players have more expensive items and upgrades available later in the game, but the amount of resources that can be stored at generators remains unchanged.
  • Increasing the cap alongside Diamond and Emerald progression would make resource collection feel more consistent with the stage of the game.
  • It would also reduce situations where resources are constantly being lost because the generator has reached its cap while players are away.

Example(s):
  • Start: 32 Iron / 6 Gold
  • 1st Diamond upgrade: 36 Iron / 7 Gold
  • 1st Emerald upgrade: 40 Iron / 8 Gold
  • 2nd Diamond upgrade: 44 Iron / 9 Gold
  • 2nd Emerald upgrade: 48 Iron / 10 Gold

-1 I don't think the caps need to increase. The current limits help keep resources from building up too much, and increasing them could make the economy too easy later into the game.

I don't think this would make the economy “too easy,” because the suggestion doesn't increase generator speed or resource generation, rather, it only increases the storage cap.

As the game progresses, the resource caps for other generators already increase. Diamond generators go from 4 to 7, while Emerald generators go from 2 to 3. This shows that increasing resource capacity as the game progresses isn't inherently a problem.

The same principle can apply to Iron and Gold. The proposed increases are small and wouldn't flood players with resources; they would mainly prevent resources from being wasted while players are away from their generators.

The goal isn't to make the economy faster, but to make the resource caps scale reasonably with the progression of the game.
