Optimizing pika network

Hi, I’m replqz (also known as replaz).


I just wanted to share some feedback about Pika Network Survival. Lately, it feels like the server hasn’t been getting as much attention beyond things like new crates and repeated maps, which is understandable to a certain point.


However, I’ve noticed that performance—especially TPS, ping, and FPS stability—hasn’t been the best recently. It’s a bit confusing since the server is based in the EU, and many players from that region are experiencing similar issues.


During PvP, it sometimes becomes difficult to play smoothly because of lag, which can take away from the overall experience.


Maybe there’s a way to optimize or slightly reduce some plugins to help improve performance. Even small improvements could make a big difference for players.


I really appreciate the work that goes into maintaining the server, and I hope this feedback is helpful. I believe that with some performance improvements, the server could feel even better to play on and might even encourage more players to return.

Also I'd like to add making 2 diff worlds, from overworld and spawn as this will make a HUGE diff

To be fairs I agree to disagree with this.

They have tried over the years of me playing this to try and optimize the server as the best they have but they have never made a break point against this. I don’t think they can really optimize this anymore then they can be, they had to cap a lot of stuff to the distance renders maximum to the resort and recodes of all the plugins.

There is also room that they could do with giving better servers like they do with jartex. Yeah the servers are based in EU and yes there is a lot of ip bouncing to make room so everyone can play the best as they could but they could do with looking at different providers and trying to give us better servers to run on so people can play. Especially when survival on Pika is played on more then Jartex has been for the last few years.

They could consider looking into opportunities to test and try or write better plugins to maybe give the servers a little nudge but they have tried the best they have to optimize the best they can, I just think the server needs more storage allowance to avoid this kind of issues so players can actually play, server don’t feel choppy and data can be processed without causing problems.
