Suggestion:
Nerfing the mace's damage to armor

Detailed description:
Capping the amount of durability you can lose from a mace.
Limiting the maximum amount of durability you can lose to a mace for example 1-50 durability
Every block you fall from could deal 1 durability for example if I dropped from 10 blocks with a wind charge it would do 10 durability to their armor (Unbreaking would cancel some of that out so potentially only doing 4 durability)
Falling from a height such as 50 blocks would deal 50 durability (With unbreaking cancelling some out, would be around 20 durability) And falling from around 100+ blocks would deal a maximum of 50 durability even if you flew up 1000 blocks.

P.S
Adding a potential roof to the whole of warzone could limit this however I don't think that's the right approach and limiting durability is better.

Reason(s):
Players have adapted to the new mace addition and fly hundreds of blocks up and then shoot downwards with an elytra and hit you, since they have fell from an extreme height your armor loses hundreds of durability within one hit and can possibly one shot your armor.
In my eyes this is a bad way to make PvP fun in OpLifesteal as the removal of 8 minute tipped arrows was a good addition to prevent super long fights and potion durations however the mace has become too OP.

Example(s):
If I was to go to Y 500 and hit somebody at Y 60 it would deal the same durability as a hit from Y 150 for example.

Alright mace needs a full removal at this point, there's no nerfs that would work other than a removal

it still takes an elytra+skill+cps to take an opponent, so the average pika network player simply cant do high damages

i really hope they make them craftable, or the best choice in my opinion: make them only for attribute swapping and not for high fall damages

Attribute swapping is wayy too OP. I'd rather keep it how it is now than add breach swap back. Also having them craftable would ruin the PvP too

+1 For the suggestion, While doing levels I've also noticed that player just fly really high and drop to break players armor which is very annoying due to the sudden effect it. A roof would be great but since the map with i assume would be like the season 4,5 as the drop down map which many in the community discord rejected too. A possible solution imo could be to disabled the elytra in combat which would reduce the players flying so high and when in combat it will also encourage the players to use traditional pvp and encourage potion pvp than solely relying on mace pvp to get kills

Disabling elytra in combat in my opinion is definitely one of the best ways to deal with the mace, however that also would make a lot of people not want to PvP due to never being able to escape and also kind of nerfs the mace into the floor since elytra mace is one of the only ways you can do good damage since players have 40+ hearts
