Hits not registering

Almost half of my hits are not registering especially in bedwars which made me loose so many matches

Any suggestions on fixing this problem ?

i'm on 1.16.1

use 1.8.9 instead

I get around 100-150ms latency and i'm not lagging.

Let me try in 1.8.9 and update if the issue still exists

1.8.9 is the best version it seems. I didn't ran into any issues yesterday
Shifted to 1.8.9.

also happens for me, when the player respawn in there base and i need to kill them, for a few seconds, my hits just ignore them, and i just have to trap them in order for me to stop them from distracting me to break their bed :< im on hyperium, optifine
