Discrimination Rules Improve
Detailed description:
I wanted to suggest reconsidering the punishment for discrimination-related offenses. On some servers (Jartex and others) any players receive mutes instead of bans for first-time or less severe cases, which allows moderation while still giving players a chance to learn from mistakes. A mute can prevent harmful messages without completely removing access to gameplay. Maybe consider using escalating punishments, such as mute → longer mute → ban for repeated offenses. This could make punishments feel more balanced while still maintaining a respectful community.
Reason(s):
• A mute directly stops harmful chat behavior while still allowing players to play the game.
• Some players may not fully understand the rules or may say something without realizing the severity, so a mute gives them a chance to improve.
• Using escalating punishments (mute → longer mute → ban) can feel more fair and encourages players to change their behavior before receiving permanent punishments.
• Instant bans can sometimes remove active players from the community, while mutes still enforce rules without fully excluding them.
This would still punish rule-breaking behavior while making punishments more progressive and balanced.
