Add City Life Game mode​

Detailed description:

City Life is a roleplaying and simulation-based gamemode where players can experience a virtual life within a Minecraft world. Unlike traditional minigames or PvP modes, City Life focuses on building a personal identity, earning in-game currency, working jobs, buying homes, and interacting with other players in a social environment. Players can choose professions, purchase and decorate apartments or houses, own vehicles, and participate in community events. The gamemode encourages creativity, collaboration, and long-term engagement as players progress and improve their virtual lives. It’s essentially a Sims-style experience within Minecraft, combining sandbox freedom with structured roleplay opportunities.​

Reason(s):

Adding City Life to Pika Network would significantly diversify the server’s offerings, attracting players who prefer social and creative gameplay over competitive modes. While Pika currently has strong PvP and mini-game communities, a life-simulation game mode would appeal to a wider audience, including younger players or those looking for a more casual, immersive experience. City Life also encourages repeat engagement since players return to improve their in-game lifestyle, socialize with friends, and explore new features. This can increase player retention and foster a strong community culture, giving Pika Network a unique edge over other Minecraft servers that focus primarily on combat or parkour.​

Example(s):

On servers like Blockdrop, City Life allowed players to take on jobs such as shopkeeper, taxi driver, or police officer, earning in-game currency to buy and upgrade apartments or houses. Players could purchase vehicles like cars or bikes, decorate their homes, and run businesses like cafes or stores. Community events, such as city fairs, competitions, or roleplay storylines, added depth and interaction. Features like player-run banks, government systems, and law enforcement mechanics created a realistic and engaging environment. Including similar systems on Pika Network would provide players with endless creative and social opportunities, just as it did for the City Life community on Blockdrop but sadly now, Blockdrop server has stopped giving the service of the game mode and it is missed by many.​

While it's inspired by life simulation games, the 'City Life' mode is designed to bring a unique roleplaying experience within the Minecraft world. Also, this game mode was quite popular on other servers, and many players miss it. Adding it here could attract a lot of players who enjoyed this unique experience.

According to condition of Minecraft player base No one would be interested to play this sort of game in minecraft if someone would be interested in playing this sort of roleplaying game they would play other roleplaying and open world games rather i would suggest to add skywars again as this should be pvp server as most of the people enjoy the PVP more than role playing in Pika netowrk.

I get your point. PvP is definitely the main focus for a lot of players here. But there’s also a big part of the Minecraft community that enjoys variety, like roleplay, or city-based gameplay. Adding a mode like City Life wouldn’t have to replace PvP modes, it could just give more options for people who want to chill when they’re not in a competitive mood. Having different gamemodes might also bring in new players who otherwise wouldn’t join just for PvP. So I still think it could be a good addition alongside PvP modes, not instead of them. This is a pretty good suggestion, and I really liked this concept. But I don't think devs will bother to even work on this because adding a new gamemode is too much work and time-consuming. They will most likely deny this by stating any stupid reason to avoid working on a gamemode. Still, it's a +1 from me.

Fact is, some gamemodes die overtime. And they need new gamemodes to bring the excitement back. E.g. normal factions was removed and normal lifesteal, and they added SkyPvP and SkyMines. The chances of new gamemodes are definitely not 0.
