Changelog
The most important features/modifications implemented towards this season's map and functions are the following.
We’ve heard your feedback and decided to take finally update GenPvP to the latest version of the game.
You will still be able to join with 1.18 and above but we will be getting rid of the old code to mimic the 1.8 PvP, you guys were very vocal about either making it 1.8 with 1.8 PvP or 1.21 with 1.21 PvP, and we have decided to stick with the modern versions of the game.
It means PvP will now work like it does on the latest version of the game, new weapons such as the Mace, and weapons have a recharge delay when used.
Regeneration & Saturation will now also act like they do in the newest version of the game.
With GenPvP now running on the latest Minecraft versions, it’s the perfect moment to expand your combat options.
Axes are officially being added to the Shop as a new part of your PvP loadout!
Axes offer a completely different way to fight compared to swords, delivering heavy burst damage, breaking shields faster, and opening up new strategies in both 1v1 and team fights.
The tutorial has received a major upgrade! Instead of showing everything only in the starting cutscene, the tutorial now guides you as you play.
This new system makes GenPvP smoother, clearer, and more beginner-friendly while giving us a powerful way to explain new features in future updates.
The Outpost world has become far more dangerous, and rewarding, with the introduction of two powerful daily bosses.
These encounters bring new progression paths, rare rewards, and competitive opportunities for every player.
Dragon Boss – Ship Outpost
Spawns Daily at 10AM & 2PM
Appears on the large ship in the Outpost world
Drops: Dragon Wings (Elytra)
A rare and highly sought-after mobility item that drastically boosts your movement possibilities.
Tower Guard – Large Tower
Spawns Daily at 12PM & 4PM
Location: Large Tower at (-100, -42)
Drops: Hammer (Mace)
A powerful melee weapon unique to this boss, offering heavy burst damage.
These bosses add new goals, rare gear, and exciting fights to the Outpost world, perfect for solo grinders and coordinated groups.
Tracking player progress has never been easier.
The brand-new /profile system lets you view detailed statistics for any player, whether they’re online or offline
What It Does
How to Use
Simply run: /profile <player>and their entire GenPvP profile will open instantly.
A brand-new strategic system has arrived: Team Cube Cores.
These allow teams to officially claim their cube, strengthen their defenses, and control when they can be raided.
Claim Your Cube
Place a Cube Core inside your cube to mark it as your team’s territory.
You can place multiple cores—each one adds extra security, but becomes exponentially more expensive to purchase.
You can place multiple cores—each one adds extra security, but becomes exponentially more expensive to purchase.
Shield System
Your Cube Core lets you purchase a temporary shield that prevents raids:
Choose anywhere between 2 hours and 12 hours
After use, the shield enters a cooldown before it can be purchased again
Buying longer shields each day makes them more expensive
While the shield is active:
Your generators cannot be raided
Protection blocks remain unraidable
But enemies can still be fought around your cube
Raiding Rules
To raid a team’s generators, all Cube Cores must be broken
Protection blocks can always be raided unless a shield is active
This creates a healthier, fairer raiding system without forcing teams to stay online 24/7
Why This System?
The new Cube Core setup makes GenPvP:
- More balanced
- More competitive
- More strategic
- And far less punishing for players who can’t be online all day
It keeps raiding intense and skillful—while giving everyone a fair chance to defend their progress.
Defending your cube just became a lot easier.
Players who have their Minecraft account linked to Discord will now receive automatic raid alerts whenever their team is under attack.
If a protection block placed by your team is broken within one chunk of your beacon—covering a 3×3×3 chunk area around it, you’ll instantly be notified on Discord.
This system lets teams react quickly, coordinate better, and stay competitive without needing to be online 24/7.
Repairing your gear is now fully integrated into the GenPvP economy.
Instead of using materials, players can repair items directly using money. The repair price scales based on the item’s original value and the total enchant levels on it.
The formula is simple:
Repair Cost = (5% of original item price) × (total enchantment levels)
Repair Cost = (5% of original item price) × (total enchantment levels)
New! Potion Shop
A brand-new Potion Shop has been added, giving players access to powerful consumable boosts during fights.
Potions provide strong temporary effects, but they come with an important restriction: each potion can only be used once every 2 minutes.
This means you’ll need to choose the right moment carefully—timing your potion could be the difference between winning or losing a fight.
The shop has been expanded and rebalanced to give players more useful options, better progression, and a smoother early-game experience.
New Additions
Balancing Changes
More affordable for beginners and mid-game players.
Menu Improvements
Cleaner, simpler, and easier to navigate.
These changes make the shop more intuitive, more fun, and much more versatile for all playstyles.
Turrets are now far more effective at defending your cubes.
Their overall performance has been boosted to make them a stronger part of your defense setup.
Turret damage has been increased by 3×, and their firing speed has been doubled, allowing them to pressure enemies much harder and make raids significantly more challenging.
We’ve put in a lot of work to polish and fix as many bugs as possible on the GenPvP server.
