What is Pika's IYN?

Back in 2020 IYN on Hypixel was this:

Two players wait for 16 iron dropping their gold to the other 2.
One goes left with 64 wool and the other goes right.
The 2 left in the gen build an endstone/glass butterfly defense.
This involves waiting for 36 iron. One gets the endstone for 24 and one glass for 12. The other gets 3 glass for 36.
The reason for this is you need 4 lots of glass to be full.
At this point each has enough gold for tnt and catches up to the bridgers on both sides and drops the tnt.


What I have seen people do here on Pika is somewhat different.
The first difference is an endstone/wood defense instead of endstone/glass.

The second is baffling to me.
One player stands _outside_ of the generator while the others throw resources in other for him to build the defense.

Having one player sranding outside the generator means your team only gets 3 sets of iron/gold instead of 4 sets, effectively reducing the team's total iron/gold by a quarter.
Can you explain the logic behind one person standing outside the generator and getting no resources for themselves?

If you want one person to have all resources why don't you have 3 stand on one side of the generator and throw the iron/gold to the 4th guy on the other side?

I also don't see bridges going both ways much and I don't see first rush tnt much either.
Is it 4 players the same direction with tools and blocking in?
A lot of the time I see no actual rush strategy other than "Leeeroy Jeeenkins"!

Can you explain the details of what Pika uses for IYN because people get annoyed when I do it the OG way.

tbh i dont think we do that, like all people stay in the gen and wait for 7 iron and 1 gold, and then 3 people throw their stuff to the defender, who buys endstone and wool and build defence and when he come back to the gen all playters split equally. Then some people carry tnt, although idk if thats common, but i mostly carry tools after that

you gave us the ultra positive version about pika network players, heres the real scenario:
1st guy gets 48 blocks and go mid with no purpose in life, 2nd guy defend the bed with 1 layer of wool and goes diamond gens to buy iron forge, 3rd player afks in gen the whole game, and the 4th disconnects, well if he doesnt he will afk in the gen too!

As I know, on Pika, it’s more common to 4-stack one direction instead of splitting. If you split, you risk getting 2v4’d by the first team you hit. The goal is one overwhelming push with tools/block-ins instead of trying to bomb from above with TNT. Tool rushing is cheaper, reusable, and doesn’t rely on gold. TNT isn’t as strong or reliable, so players tend to block in on the bed rather than blow it open.

i mean to play iyn you need to have a team, that is actually good and knows what to do lol
