Hello. I would like to bring up a very important problem with the roofing on one of the buildings in the Practice lobby. Under the roof overhang at -1046, 47, -343, there is a noticeable gap that directly exposes the interior brickwork of the building. This is on both sides of this roof section, and if it is not fixed soon, there could be some devastating consequences.
Using standard Minecraft measurements, 1 Block = 1 Meter = 3.28 Feet. The exposed void seems to offer about .5 meters (1.64 feet) of vertical clearance under the roof structure. While this may seem pretty insignificant to the ordinary person, I am very well-trained in roofing, and I know that roofs should be fully enclosed and offer solid structural integrity.
To quote the International Building Code (IBC):
Additionally, general construction standards emphasizes:
Currently, this part of the roof does not live up to the basic expectations of roofing. This gap affects the structural integrity, reveals interior materials, and disrupts the intended structural aesthetic of the building.
For a comparison, below is how the roof looks when properly installed:
Please note the fully enclosed bottom and lack of interior exposure. This example shows how roofing should be done correctly and in accordance with all necessary principles.
Although the immediate danger of weather intrusion may be small, given that it never rains in the practice lobby, the presence of a 0.5-meter structural gap below a roof assembly is a very serious question regarding the long-term architectural viability of this building. Especially when you take into account that this roof is a part of the parkour route, constantly having players running on this roof is bound to keep damaging this over the long-term.
Structural failures have, in many instances throughout history, begun with “just a small gap.” Don't let this be one of those cases.
I respectfully ask the staff team to examine this roofing issue and bring the structure into compliance for the safety and peace of mind of all Practice players.
Pika, please fix.

General Construction Standards said:Exterior roof overhangs must be properly sealed to prevent exposure of interior structural components.
