Hello guys. This thread explains about the advanced mechanic of enchanting and how to exploit the game mechanic to our advantages. Basically, there are about 24 enchantments that are available for minecraft 1.8, however, if we look in the contexts of the server, there are a few enchantments that can be considered 'useless'. I'm not going to explain the basic of enchanting, however, we'll talk on how to 'enchant effectively'. One of the common but yet, effective enchanting is to bring all of your enchant-able stuff like tools, armors, books, etc. to your xp farm (say, blaze farm). Every time you hit level 30, put every of your stuff that are not yet enchanted to the enchanting slot in the enchanting table. Consider putting every enchant-able stuff into the enchanting slot (but do not enchant the item) to see what kind of enchantment you will got for all of the stuff. List below (in my opinion) shows the priority of the enchantments that you should choose if they popped up in the enchantment:
1.Looting 3 (Diamond sword, book)
2.Fortune 3 (Diamond pickaxe, book)
3.Protection IV (Diamond armor)
4.Protection III (Diamond armor, book)
5. Depth strider III (Diamond boots, book)
6. Players choice, but I'd choose efficiency IV (Tools, book)
Note that this method can be considered as decent if you start fresh and want to have a complete set of powerful gears, however I wouldn't recommend it for later stage ( if you want to get a specific enchantment, say Silk Touch, refer to Art of Enchanting 2 because this method eats a LOT of time). After you enchant your stuff, your level will drop to 27 (obviously ), and farm your xp back to level 30 and ONLY level 30, do not past that level because leveling in Minecraft works the same as Pokemon, the higher the level, you need more xp to increase your level by one. I know, this is confusing BUT, leave a question if you're confused as a drunk bee. Alright, thx for reading this thread XD.
