Replace Minigames with Chatevents
Detailed description:
Chat events are engaging activities that require players to solve math problems, rearrange jumbled words or sentences, or retype sentences. These events are enjoyable and familiar to everyone, as they have already been implemented on the Discord server.
Reason(s):
Minigames were introduced in Factions to engage new players while offering decent rewards. Unfortunately, recent attempts to launch these minigames have failed due to low player participation, supported by the fact that the rewards have become increasingly irrelevant.
I propose we switch from minigames to chat events. Many players are already familiar with chat events, as they’ve been successfully introduced on the PikaNetwork Discord. Here are some advantages of chat events:
- Players can participate from any location, making it more accessible for everyone.
- No need to clear inventories, participants can simply open chat and compete.
- The simplistic nature of these events significantly reduces the opportunity for cheating, ensuring a fair experience for all.
- Winners will receive meaningful rewards that can significantly benefit them and their factions.
- These events will motivate players to remain online and engage with the community.
The rewards for these events must be valuable and useful. The Op Factions economy has changed considerably, and a reward like $10 billion in-game is hardly useful—it won't even buy a single silverfish spawner. I request you to consider implementing rewards that provide a meaningful boost to players, reflecting the current state of the economy and enhancing the experience for everyone involved.
Example(s):
Example from Discord. Representation of the event in-game may vary.
Creative's chat event system (when Creative existed) is a great example as well.
