Question Answered Tag

Detailed description:
I suggest adding a 'Mark as Answer' button on forums posts.

This new button would show up in the bottom right of a reply to your own post, visible only to the original thread poster. If you hover over it, you would see the message 'Mark this reply as the solution. This will lock the thread.'

Once a reply is marked as the answer the thread would be locked automatically and would receive an 'Answered' tag. The accepted reply would be outlined in green and get a label that says, 'Accepted Answer'.

Once an answer is accepted, the button would then change from 'Mark as Answer' to 'Unmark as Answer', this would allow creators to unlock their post if they marked something as an answer by accident, or if their problem arose again, etc.

You could also make a new counter of 'Accepted Answers' on a user's profile, which might encourage more people to be active on the forums and to try to go out of their ways to help people out.

Reason(s):
This would help the forums by reducing the amount of necro-posting and post-farming. It would also help users to easily be able to more quickly find out via the Index Search if a question they were thinking about posting has already been answered. Another benefit would be helping to making it much easier and more efficient for people searching for help via the forums.

Example(s):
Here is what a thread would look like with the added 'Mark as Answer' Button:

There is no need for this because unlike support tickets, other sub-forums aren't dedicated for support. Also, there could be trolls and support from the community isn't official so some misinformation can be spread as well.
