Suggestion to Improve Opskyblock PvP – Removing Bow Boost for Competitive Battles
Hey Opskyblock team,
I’ve been PvPing on Opskyblock since 2020, playing nearly every day and witnessing firsthand how the PvP scene has evolved. Now i know that Skyblock itself isnt fully focused on pvp but for many players PvP was the main thing on it too, It was full of action, adrenaline, and real strategy—teams prepared for days, trading gear, grinding EXP for gsets, and organizing massive wars against rival groups. The fights weren’t just quick exchanges; they were full-fledged battles where 40–50 players would jump down together, leading to intense, large-scale team fights.
I remember moments after those fights where teams of 20+ players would regroup, celebrating a hard-earned victory, trading loot, and preparing for the next big encounter. PvP was fair because only those who grinded enough EXP had the best gear, and Axe PvP was still an important part of battles since armor would break faster, making fights high-stakes and skill-based rather than never-ending.
But lately, PvP feels less competitive and less exciting, and the biggest issue is bow boost.

Reason(s):
The Problem with Bow Boost
Bow boost has drastically changed the way fights happen. Instead of players committing to battles with their teammates, many now rely on bow boost as an easy escape. This leads to fewer real fights, less intense combat, and a drop in overall participation because fights often end with one side running away instead of properly competing.
Why Removing Bow Boost Would Help
Bringing back PvP without bow boost would reignite competition and restore the pure adrenaline-filled experience that Opskyblock PvP was known for.

- Fewer team fights: Before bow boost, players wouldn’t just jump down solo—they knew they had to stick with their team to survive and win. Without an easy way to escape, groups would strategize, enter fights together, and adapt to enemy movements, creating an engaging PvP environment.
- Less competition: The moment a fight gets tough, many players use bow boost to escape, making 1v1s less meaningful and large fights nearly impossible to maintain. People go down thinking they can run whenever they want, so PvP loses its excitement.
- Discourages grinding: Back when bow boost wasn’t a thing, players had to win the fight through skill, preparation, and teamwork. The best PvPers stood out because of their mastery of combat mechanics, not because they had an overpowered escape tool and having a guy who almost broke every set of yours and now is just running is overly annoying.
Why Removing Bow Boost Would Help
Bringing back PvP without bow boost would reignite competition and restore the pure adrenaline-filled experience that Opskyblock PvP was known for.
- More strategic team fights: Players would stick together instead of running solo, leading to more organized battles and true PvP wars, just like the old days.
- Higher participation: With real competition back, more players would be motivated to grind and prepare for battles, increasing server activity.
- Balanced fights: Instead of one side constantly escaping, PvP would be about skill, tactics, and teamwork, bringing back the thrill of fighting to the last moment.
Example(s):
I’m not asking for all new enchantments to be removed—there has been a lot of work put into developing them. However, removing bow boost alone would bring back the pure emotions, the real team fights, and the high-stakes adrenaline that Opskyblock PvP was built on.
It’s time to revive real competitive battles where players actually commit to fights, strategize, and experience the thrill of victory—or the agony of defeat.
I hope you give this suggestion a serious look—many players feel the same way.
Best regards,
