Invisible Block - can't place block on 1×2 air blocks

what causes the invisible blocks in random spots?
I am try to build the interior of my base but random 1×2 air blocks on ground won't let me put down other blocks. left clicking makes the weak attack sound as if a player is standing there.
what should I do?

This happened to me too. It is all because of the invisible armor stands, u can take a piece of armor and right click on it, u will see floating armor lol

oh! is there any way to get rid of it tho?
I'm currently using the piston trick to push the blocks into their place.

I dunno if theirs a way or not but idk how to solve that. I got the idea of the piston as u said it lol
