Welcome everyone! Today, we’re interviewing a Senior Moderator who brings valuable experience from previously serving as staff on Jartex Network. Their background across multiple large Minecraft servers offers a unique perspective on moderation, community management, and fair decision-making. Let’s get started and learn more about their journey.

1. What motivated you to join the staff team on Pika Network?
Ans- Actually this is a bit of a weird situation, so won't go into full details. It was a bit after a year I had resigned from Jartex and thought I was done completely done with minecraft but a few of my friends were quite persistent. I ended up getting back into it and eventually remembered how much I enjoyed staffing more than the game itself. So that's the boring version of it.

2. What differences did you notice when transitioning to Pika from jartex?
Ans- Most people would assume there are a lot of differences, but honestly not that many. Sure, there are a few changes with the punishments for rules, but the community and the team always feels welcoming nonetheless. They both have their challenges, but it is always a fun one.

3. What goals have you set for yourself on Pika Network?
Ans- I guess my biggest goal is just to be of assistance. It sounds silly but my goals are constantly changing based on what is the most needed for the team. My personal goal for this time was just to enjoy the journey and so far it seems to be working.

4. Who has been your biggest support throughout your staff journey?
Ans- Honestly, to my surprise almost everyone at the team has been a huge assistance while being here. I would say that from day one it had always been Kristelly, Starrly, Storm and Arrly (even though Kristelly and Starrly have resigned by now). That's not to say that there are not people in the team right now that support each other and me but if I were to start listing everyone the whole answer would be a wall.

5. Are you committed to giving your 100% to the Pika Network staff team?
Ans- Absolutely. My commitment to the team and the server has always been on high ever since I joined. I feel like due to me focusing more within the team though, most people might not really know me or what I do and that is absolutely normal.

6. How do you stay unbiased when reviewing reports or appeals?
Ans- Well, I obviously can not really get on details regarding how we handle appeals and reports, but what I can say is that there is a huge system in place to make sure that there is the least bias possible in the decision making and we just adhere to it.

7. Are you happy with your role as Sr. moderator or do you have aspiration to be an admin?
Ans- I feel like it is humane to have aspirations to go the highest you can and I do as well. Having said that, I am quite happy with my role right now since it allows me to help in a lot of fields. Now it does feel a bit weird to have to reclimb the ladder after so many years at Jartex and especially as a SrMod (the equivalent of Admin here), but it has been the most amazing journey I could ask for.

8. What do you think makes Pika Network unique compared to other servers?
Ans- I feel like the answer to this will always be the people. No matter how similar or not gamemodes can be they will always come short. Even though I would say I don't interact the most with the community, it will always make the difference.

9. What game mode on Pika do you think needs the most moderation attention and why?
Ans- It always depends on the timing but at the current state I would say gamemodes of competitive nature like OPFactions and Kit will always require attention no matter how hard we try to be there. Most other gamemodes already have staff moderating whenever we all can, but as I said it will depend on the timing and the staff members who are around.

10. What about sky pvp and op lifesteal?
Ans- Skypvp it depends on the time and our visibility. I know Creeper is there quite often but earlier in the day. Lifesteal in itself as I mentioned is based on the timing. If I am correct right now there are no specific Lifesteal staff members but that does not mean that we do not moderate or spectate the gamemodes if needed.

11. How has Pika Network changed since you first joined the staff team?
Ans- Hm, well I wouldn't say it has changed in a way and that is not a bad thing. It has stayed consistent over time and it feels nice to have periods that major changes are not constantly happening. When it comes to the team as well, with time new people join and old people leave, that is the normal nature of this cycle. There have been a few changes within the team itself but can't really go into details with that either really.

12. What role do you think staff play in shaping the server’s culture?
Ans- I feel like the staff team always forms the culture and the community and viceversa. Either that being due to the connection with one another, how close they feel and how much trust there is or just by enforcing the rules, moderating and trying to make it a safe place for others. It is more of a back and forth relationship I guess. Afterall, without either groups, the server wouldn't be what it currently is.

That concludes our interview. Thank you for sharing your journey, insights, and perspective with the community. Your dedication and commitment to fairness truly reflect what strong leadership looks like on Pika Network. We look forward to seeing the continued positive impact you’ll make as a Senior Moderator.

About the server side questions , only Developers have knowledge about that info so nothing can be said for sure.. Thnx...
