Detailed description:

I would like to suggest improving the current swear filtering system on the Pikanetwork.


At the moment, players are still able to bypass the chat filter by slightly modifying swear words (adding symbols, spaces, or numbers). Additionally , People can still write random swears , Racist words / slangs on signs in most of the gamemodes


I suggest implementing a better and stronger chat filtering / signs filter system which can :

• Blocks inappropriate words in chat completely
• Detects bypass attempts (e.g. b@dw0rd, spaced letters, symbols)
• Prevents players from placing signs containing swear, racist, or offensive words
• Optionally replaces inappropriate words with **** or cancels the message entirely
• Logs violations for staff


The system should apply to:

• Public chat
• Signs
• Possibly anvils and books

This would ensure that players cannot spread offensive content anywhere on the server.​

Reason(s):

• Keeps the server environment clean and friendly
• Protects younger players from exposure to inappropriate language
• Reduces toxicity within the community
• Helps staff by lowering manual moderation workload
• Improves the overall professionalism of the network


Since the server has a large and very diverse player base, stronger moderation tools would greatly improve chat quality, I have seen many people get bullied in the server because the filtering system isnt good enough and the players dont know where to report players .​

• adding random numbers in between letters
• placing offensive content on signs

With a stronger filter:

• The messages would be blocked
• The sign placement would be cancelled
• The player would receive a warning , sometimes they should also be banned by the filtering system which will reduce the work of the staff team .
