It was a doubles game on Speedway. There were no sweats so it was immediately better than most games!
We were 2 evenly matched teams back and forth having to deal with glass and a ton of water. A whole bunch of bridge fights, failed block ins and 2v1s.
It was a real battle of attrition. Eventually I got rid of all the water and dug in from the top and got the bed. I got a final kill with a sharp wood vs sharp iron. The other guy escaped and broke our bed but died in the process.
Amazingly, no-one else had interfered the whole time making the fight even better. It was such a long battle it was only a minute or two later when beds broke!
All the other teams had taken each other out and there was just a solo guy afk left. We had nudged him towards the edge in an endstone box and were going for a silverfish kill when suddenly he came back and fireball jumped out!
He killed my teammate in mid then went for diamond armour and sword. We then had a fight of the ages with both prot 4 diamond and jump boost.
The extra speed potion I had gave me the advantage though and I was able to run away, gap then run back at him and combo him into one of the holes in mid.
It really felt like 2018 again. A time before every game has a god bridger or a Badlion pvp master who can't help but place 50 blocks before even starting a fight.
