Fixing Dungeons
Detailed description:
The dungeons on Pika Network have three bosses: Crimson, Ancient, and Aztec (Aztec being the hardest). To defeat a boss, you have to complete a parkour section to move forward. The problem is that if you fall into the lava during the parkour, you instantly die and lose the full 64 boss coins you spent to enter the dungeon. This makes the entire run feel extremely punishing, especially on the harder bosses like Aztec where one small mistake can waste everything you worked for.
Reason(s):
This change should be added because it would make the dungeons way more enjoyable and fair for everyone. Right now, the high risk of losing 64 boss coins on a single parkour fail discourages a lot of players from even attempting the dungeons, especially free-to-play or newer players. Adding checkpoints or reducing the coin penalty on death would remove a lot of unnecessary frustration while still keeping the content challenging. It would encourage more players to run dungeons regularly, improve overall player satisfaction, and show that the team cares about making the new features fun instead of stressful.
Example(s):
- A player spends 45–60 minutes perfectly fighting through the Aztec boss, only to slip once on the final parkour jumps and lose all 64 boss coins in a second. They get so frustrated they don’t want to run dungeons again that day.
- Many grinders who farm boss coins for hours end up quitting the run after one lava death because they feel like all their effort was wasted in a single mistake.
- Even experienced players sometimes make small errors under pressure. Losing everything because of one slip makes the parkour feel more like a frustrating punishment than a fun challenge.
