False ban by moderator on kitmap

Yesterday, I fought a moderator on the kitmap. We were 5 against him. After killing him, he froze me to see if I had no cheat. I have a hard time to understand why me given that 5 players were on him as little you suspect me of cheating?

I was checked by this one, he found nothing. Then apparently he found a file that he said to be Vape Lite. I never bought a cheat on Minecraft so I know I was innocent and some of them didn’t ban me.
However, I was banned by this one. Being friends with the high staff of coldnetwork I asked if my file was really a cheat mode. And indeed, it is the case, the file is apparently Vape.

But it hasn’t been opened in over 2 years, and wasn’t on my game. The dates correspond literally to the time when I was a moderator on French servers and responsible for player checks. At the time, we had to search for logs on "Process Hacker". I spent time to launch known hacks and then find out how they detect them in players.

I never used it for gameplay purposes, but only for moderation purposes at the time.

Also, I arrived on the server 1 month ago, so it is impossible that I cheated on your server.

In the video too, once the folder is found, before viewing it if it has been used. He opens and closes it. Go to the properties and show me what was used today. What time is it, is the opening he made just before looking. So his use. I didn’t understand why he was doing that.

Excuse me, but how is it legitimate to ban a player who has a cheat on his computer? If he hasn’t used it for more than 2 years. It has not done any damage to the players' gameplay if it never used it on your server. If you ban all the players who have a cheat on their computer you will not have any more players on your server.
Look at the name of the file how could I have known that it was an old cheat? I do not know the names of all cheating files in the world.

It's best to just not have cheats on your computer at all. The best way of doing that is to never download cheats, which is what's expected from you. If you've read the screenshot I sent you, it states that clients which can hide themselves during a screenshare (so called "Ghost Clients") are bannable even if it is not evident you used it on the server.

Did you read my message above before replying? I was a moderator of the pvp server. I was responsible for the vices of players and found logs. It is normal that I have traces of cheat on my computer. You ban me for being a moderator on other servers. At the time, SS Tools did not exist, we were obliged to search for logs.

It clearly mentions that you will abide by all rules listed on the page by joining onto the server, and that if you do not follow all of them, you may get punished. This is exactly your case. You broke a rule by having a Ghost Client on your Computer, so you got banned for the correct reason.

I will not be repeating my self, just do whatever i listed above. The only possible thing you can do is appeal nothing else.

This is only supposed to be done on false punishments. The punishment has already proven to be valid by their friend.

Not very true. There's Ghost Clients (including the one they got banned for) that rename the file to obfuscate the name.

It makes no sense to ban a player who has an old record that he could not even know was an old cheat. If the file was called "autoclick" I would understand but it was impossible for me to know.

If this happens, there's gonna be people complaining about those people not being banned too. These rules are impossible to be made fair for everyone. I understand that you are trying to get into the administration, but understand our side. Why don’t you be aware of all the ranked players who use double accounts to cheat every day instead of banning honest players. If so many players this complains of this punishment do not you think we should review your rule? Don’t tell me you never downloaded a cheat mode when you were little. Everyone has tried a cheat. This does not make everyone a cheat all the time. I have not hurt any player on the server since I am legit so there is no reason to ban me. I think the files I have on my computer are private as long as I don’t use them on your server. You will not ban a player for insulting if he has insults on his computer? You will ban him if he insults someone in the chat. It’s the same..

I do not think so. I am 100% certain, with absolutely no doubt, that there will be more complaints about people getting away too easily after a screenshare, than there are now about this rule. It's completely fine as is, no need to overthink it.

OK, so your reasoning is that it's normal to get banned for a file that doesn't exist itself? Besides, how could the administrator delete this file, which was his intention? If I could, I would get it back, but I couldn't, so how do you think I can appeal? If unglue sent me the file that he deleted or the recording, it would be obvious that it was the installer that didn't work, then I would admit that you were right and I would have grounds to appeal. Because in situations like mine and that of my colleague above, the rule "the administration is always right" still applies, because how can a player appeal against a ban if he has no proof of why he was banned?

If you get an answer there and you're not happy with it, that's on you and you should still not make these kinds of threads, since they do not belong here. This is a discussion forum about KitPvP, not a forum to complain about getting presumably "false banned".
