Enhancing the /ignore Feature
Detailed description:
I propose an enhancement to the /ignore command on Pika-Network to provide a more comprehensive and effective solution for dealing with unwanted interactions. Currently, the /ignore command only blocks messages from ignored players, while their characters and actions remain visible. I suggest extending this functionality to also make ignored players' characters invisible to the user, providing a more complete and peaceful experience.
Players should also receive periodic reminders from Pika that they have /ignored someone.
However, please note that in actual gameplay scenarios, like mini-games, players should still see ignored characters to maintain game integrity.

However, please note that in actual gameplay scenarios, like mini-games, players should still see ignored characters to maintain game integrity.
Reason(s):
- Enhanced Player Experience: By making ignored players' characters invisible, users can enjoy a more distraction-free and pleasant environment, without the presence of players they wish to avoid.
- Reduced Harassment: This improvement can significantly reduce instances of in-game harassment. Ignored players would no longer be able to follow or visually harass others, leading to a safer and more respectful community.
- Consistency: Extending the /ignore command to include the visibility of characters aligns with the intention of the feature, making it a more complete and consistent tool for managing interactions.
Implementing this enhanced /ignore feature will greatly improve the overall experience on Pika-Network, fostering a more positive and engaging community. This change will be well-received by the player base and contribute to a more harmonious environment.
Example(s):
- Scenario 1: A player is being followed and taunted by another player in-game. By using the enhanced /ignore command, the harassing player’s messages and character become invisible, allowing the player to continue enjoying the game without further annoyance.
- Scenario 2: In social areas of the game, a player wishes to avoid certain individuals without leaving the area. The improved /ignore command ensures that unwanted players are completely invisible, making social interactions more enjoyable and stress-free.
