Suggestion:
Deny chat reports w completely dark bg

Detailed description:
All player reports where the chat background is completely dark (not see through) should be denied. An example of this 100% dark chat opacity is provided in the “Example” section of this suggestion.

Reason(s):
Having this complete dark chat opacity allows players to easily fabricate chat player reports, as you don’t have to worry about the background looking distorted if you copy and paste a message on top of another. If all dark chat opacity reports were denied, it would make fabricating chat reports a lot harder (obviously still not impossible, but it requires a lot more work than the “evidence” that was used to mute me.)

Example(s):

This screenshot shows the falsified evidence used to get me muted recently. The chat background opacity is completely dark, which allows the player to easily copy paste my message over others’ to make it seem as if I was spamming. (I happen to have a tag equipped with obfuscated characters, which easily shows how this was edited. It’s nearly impossible for those obfuscated characters to line up perfectly three times in a row.)

If you really wanted to, you’re able to fabricate a chat report with any background opacity. A player shouldn’t be unable to report others just because of a preference of their chat background, and you shouldn’t force players to change their preferred settings just to be able to make successful reports.

Some users have chat like that for FPS boost, decoration, etc.. You can't withdraw their ability to report a player due to a chat font.

Yes, you can fabricate a chat report when the background isn’t dark, but then you would have to get the background of blocks, entities or whatever you’re looking at, to match perfectly. (A lot harder than if you have a completely dark bg)

Perhaps you just mentioned the wrong thing, but I wasn’t taking about chat font.

I find the downvotes more bad faith than anything(FPS??) given the many other restrictions this server has although I will say this suggestion should rather be altered to require more than 1 piece of evidence should the report be a static image.
You still have my upvote because splicing is still splicing

That’s exactly the thing, splicing is sill splicing. This would do nothing to stop people from splicing. It is just as easy to fake a screenshot with the default chat background as it is with the full dark one.

We should never throw the baby out with the bath water, which is to avoid something because of a slight risk. While what you have mentioned is true, I don't believe that it is severe enough to completely consider it as invalid evidence, and as zapril mentioned that faking a screenshot with lower background opacity is highly possible as well.. While there might be inconvenience to the players and the staff team, it is still possible for players to submit a punishment appeal for the invalid / modified evidence and request for further checking on the matter.
