Combat tagged in boss arena
Detailed description:
I suggest implementing a combat tag system specifically for boss fights in SkyMines. When a player deals damage to a boss, they should automatically get combat-tagged for a set duration (similar to how it works in OP lifesteal). This means that once they participate in the boss fight, they cannot instantly escape without consequences. The tag should reset each time they hit the boss, ensuring that all participants remain in combat until the boss is defeated or they stop engaging for the timer to expire.
To ensure this change does not discourage new or undergeared players from progressing, the /lvl rewards could be buffed to include small boss-related drops at earlier levels. This would allow newer players to still access useful boss items and feel rewarded, without having to rely solely on competing in dangerous boss fights while undergeared. This balance would both preserve fairness in boss battles and support early-game progression.
Reason(s):
Currently, players are able to enter boss fights without armor or proper gear, quickly deal damage to secure rewards, and then instantly leave once the boss is defeated or leave before. Since they are not combat-tagged, they face no risk and avoid fair PvP competition. This reduces the intensity and competitive spirit of boss fights, which are meant to be challenging, rewarding, and skill-based. By adding a combat tag, players will have to commit to the fight, encouraging them to gear up properly, strategize, and compete fairly for boss rewards.
Example(s):
For example, if a player hits the boss even once, they are tagged for 25 seconds. During this time, they cannot teleport, warp, or instantly leave the arena. If they continue fighting, the timer refreshes with each hit. This ensures that everyone who participates is equally vulnerable to PvP during and shortly after the boss fight. It would make boss fights more engaging, competitive, and balanced for all players.
