Add King Of The Hill (KOTH)
Detailed description:
This is a suggestion to add the King of the Hill (KOTH) event in Survival. This event would consist of a designated "hill" on a map where players can compete to take over and hold control of the zone for a certain length of time (for example, 5-10 minutes). After a player or team holds the zone and doesn't get knocked out, they win the KOTH. Rewards could be the prize, including crate keys, money, rare items, or other Survival-related perks that make the event worth it.
The event could either be played at specified times, for example, every 3-4 hours, or just be announced on a random basis to up the thrills and lure in more players.
Reason(s):
Currently, there is more focus on building and grinding in Survival, but integrating KOTH will open additional opportunities for PvP and strategy.
Periodic KOTH events will keep players logging in regularly and staying longer. Clans or groups of friends will be able to cooperate to take over the hill, encouraging player interaction.
Some reward scaling will allow KOTH to be a fun way of awarding high-value prizes without breaking the economy.
Example(s):
Every 4 hours, a KOTH event occurs inside a special PvP arena. Players are sent an announcement that says, “KOTH has started at /warp KOTH! Fight for the hill and earn rewards!”
A player/team needs to remain in the KOTH capture zone for 5 minutes without being knocked out to win.
A reward may consist of:
$5,000–$10,000 in Survival balance
Rare items (Enchanted Golden Apples, Shards, Custom Tools, etc.)
Any potion effect, like strength/speed, that lasts until the KOTH is captured by another player/team.
I think the rewards should not be too much buffed. For example, capturing KOTH gives you a rank which is not sustainable because it will unbalance the economy.
Example: Player A leads a team that defends the hill from the other teams. After 5 minutes in control of the hill faced with success they win, and it is broadcast to the server: “PlayerA/TeamA captured the KOTH! Congrats!”
