A command or the ability to see if a player is nicked and what their IGN really is.
Detailed description:
This would be a command eg. /IGN{player name} that reveals the real IGN of a player if they are nicked. If nicked, it would reply with: "the IGN is {real name of person}". If they are not nicked, then it would reply with "this player is not nicked" or "{name as it is seen}". This command could be used before, during and after a match or even in the lobby.
Reason(s):
- There are many nicked players I have encountered on skywars that break rules such as "cross teaming" "encouraging suicide/death threats or wishes" and "swearing" but you are unable to find their IGN if you must report them. It becomes very frustrating to deal with players constantly spewing vulgar and hateful remarks and teaming with multiple other players with no consequences.
- Currently their is no way to know the real IGN of a nicked player while they are nicked, due to their anonymity. There is no way to even ensure if a player is nicked, and this command/ability would allow you to do so.
- This would greatly benefit this server as persons who break rules would be punished and it removes the aspect of pay to win (buying champion rank so you can nick). This would also allow new players to feel welcomed as they would not have to deal with nicked teamers and also hateful messages.
Example(s):
A person who is called "EatKids" is teaming with another player "imaginebeingpoor" and eliminates you in skywars. They are also the last 2 players and decide to stand next to each other in the middle until the border closes. You fell very frustrated that your amazing server has been infected with the virus of teamers. You try to do the only logical thing and report them but it is denied. You check on the "bans" list and search up their name but oh no you are greeted with the message " Error This user is not a player on our network!" You are unable to report them and they are free to ruin other games. :(
Flashback to if this command/ability was available:
You type /IGN EatKids and it says "the IGN is iamaloser123.
You are now able to make a report and bring this rule breaker to justice.
The server is saved.
