Exploit? Axe crits + armor breaking

I'm sure plenty of you have seen someone who you think is crit hacking and one tapping your armor. I think its something to do with joining the server on a legacy pvp client that's 1.7 client side. This messes with the iframes allowing them to somewhat break the game and get the crits through...
