    No, it's not a bug actually he is saying that if we want a diamond pickaxe, we don't simply buy it from the shop, we need to upgrade it like first we need to spend iron for wooden pick then for the stone then for iron and gold followed by diamond. And i think this upgradable stuff is kinda good.
