What's the distance for minecart to work? It looks like it's just 2 chunks. A little further and it stops. When I come closer it works again

I stopped getting rewards for voting

It happened few days ago to me and few more people. I do it as usual. I use the right name. On website it says I voted but I don't get anything in game any more. Wtf is that. I reported bug but not sure they are trying to fix it
