There does seem to be more actively in that forum this year.
In my experience the suggestions forum is almost totally pointless and just there as a facade though.
Things get accepted with 0 or -1 votes and popular suggestions get ignored.
One of the Bedwars kill message suggestions was open as the highest voted for years and has been accepted for months and not implemented.
Suggestions for bridge eggs and rotational items were always flatly denied but are now in the game.
Suggestions are almost always denied with blurb that covers a whole host of reasons from not enough info to being illegal or some other nonsense so you have no idea why it was denied.
You can write something well that is logical and relatively simple to implement and with lots of detail and have positive discussions on the thread and then get a bot reply ending it.

I think you are right but not 100%.
- It doesn't matter how much down vote or upvotes are there in the suggestion.
- Suggestions could be accepted or denied it doesn't matter how much upvotes or downvotes.
- And if anything is added to the game and the suggestion is denied may the reason was because devlopers are already planning to do it so why they would accept it.
- I agree they will add but there is a higher chance they would just forgot it and added it because devlopers doesn't pay that much attention towards suggestions.
