Add a Server-Wide Event Calendar Feature
Detailed description:
I would like to suggest adding a server-wide Event Calendar system that allows players to see upcoming events across the entire PikaNetwork. This calendar could be accessed via a command (e.g. /events) or through an NPC at spawn. The calendar would display important server events such as:
- KOTH (King of the Hill) times
- Crate or Key drop parties
- Special weekend bonuses (like 2x XP or coins)
- Reset dates or season end/start
- Limited-time competitions or minigames
Reason(s):
- Keeps the player base informed and engaged
- Encourages participation in server events, increasing server activity
- Reduces confusion about when events will happen
- Helps new and returning players stay updated with what's happening
- Shows professionalism and good communication from the server staff
Example(s):
- A player types /events and sees a calendar UI with all events listed for the week
- An NPC named Event Manager is placed at spawn; right-clicking shows the upcoming events
- Events listed by date and time (with the player’s timezone automatically detected or manually set)
- For example:
