Suggestion:
Short Horror Story Event on Discord.​

Detailed description:
I think there should be an event taking place on Discord called Short Horror Story Event. In this event, participants can narrate a short horror story of their choice in English. The story can be original or taken from the internet. Each participant will have 7 to 10 minutes to share their story, and the top three best narratives will receive prizes. Participants are allowed to play background music (BGM) during their narration, but it should be at a volume that does not overpower their voice.​

Reason(s):
Will be a fun special discord event where players can show their narrating skills.​

I'd say this is a good event idea. It does sound similar to karaoke but in my opinion, it's better

Even though I find the suggestion really interesting and I would love such thing to happen, I have to downvote it.
Most of the network's users are minors and such event could probably create drama and possibly make some of them scared.

First of all events on-go for 2 hours at max and one story takes 15 mins averagely. There will be like 20+ people who would want to participate but wouldn't be able to participate due to shortage of time. Idea is unique but as Tihispap said we have people who can get scared from such events. If this was like one of those submission events, in which you record yourself and submit a vid, then it would've been better but in a stage channel there will be shortage of time and people will get scared aswell (especially underaged people). In the end, if this gets hosted it should be a SUBMISSION event not a event that is hosted on stage channel

I would still give it an upvote because you took time writing this and we appreciate it

I do get your point and why you are not in favour of this event but let me give you a better perspective there are horror movies and people who likes it watches it and people who don't like horror genre doesn't watches it, it will be the same for the event who wants to participate can participate and doesn't wants to participate don't need to.

That's is the reason why I suggested the story to be a short one taking around 6 to 7 minutes but I am not against of the idea of taking the stories as SUBMISSIONS. And for the underage kids who might get scared part I have already given an answer to that. But I do think there should be a time limit for a story (upto 10 minutes or maybe more or less)
