As Ov3poered said you may get an optifine program to low your lag rates.You can get optifine-launcher or use Forge.:) -

There is a small change that the player will not receive knockback or will receive knockback after a small period of time.This is a 'lag' problem.*In most of times the player gets knockback after a small period if his ping is low*. -
