Not every gamemode needs to have the same homogeneous blanket of distractions and diversions.
Outside of the main gameplay loop, it’s fine for Pika’s different gamemodes to feel distinct. I don’t believe we need to gamify everything through things like chat games.
Chat games do make the chat extremely active during that brief period of time; however, the artificially induced chat spamming isn’t something I see as a positive.
There is no positive aftermath to a number-guessing game, as normal chatter doesn’t increase. I could even argue it’s harmful, as during the game it becomes nearly impossible to talk.
In addition to that, I don’t believe the Survival chat is inactive or in need of a “spam boost.” In my opinion, it’s one of the most active chats on the entire platform.
Chat games make sense in other gamemodes such as OP Prison, where the main gameplay loop revolves around gaining wealth. One of the chatgame rewards.
The gameplay loop of Survival is centered around building, farming, and PvP. It would feel out of place here, as the main incentive isn’t wealth accumulation.
TL;DR: Don’t shoehorn a gamified style of play into what’s meant to be the chill and laid-back gamemode on this server.
