Nerfing mace in opls
Detailed description:
Hello pika network staff
The Mace in OPLS is currently overpowered it undermines PvP balance and ruins fair fights.
I want to propose an idea to fix this massive issue affecting the entire opls community
1) Disable elytra during combat and in pvp arena, so macers do not abuse the weapon by going 1000 blocks in the air and breaking players armor constantly.
This ruins the experience of the pvpers
Make PvP more about ground-based combat, skill, aim, timing — not luck or who abuses flight + mace mechanics.
Players keep flying 500–1000+ blocks, dropping on others, and breaking expensive armor repeatedly.
2) Reducing pearl cooldown timer - This helps people run and heal and have a way to escape if elytra gets disabled
Reason(s):
Many players fly hundreds of blocks up, then dive down and break costly armor in a single hit — making costly armor feel worthless and discouraging people from investing time or resources
In 1v1s or small fights there is almost no counterplay: a “macer” just stays airborne, dives, kills or breaks armor, and escapes — normal PvP becomes pointless.
There is no way one can kill a Macer carrying infinite rockets and extra elytra nd material who keeps on flying again and again after popping players armor nd totems.
Even if elytra gets disabled, mace wont become useless macers will still have a way to use it by windcharges nd enderpearls and breach swapping in on ground sword pvp.
Disabling elytra in combat also solves the problem of players running after getting low , making fights longer
and making it almost impossible to kill them if u do not carry good gear
